I started off doing well, water intake throughout the day , that didn't last a week.  Need to just get back on that horse tomorrow.  I have succeeded with giving up diet soda, I am sure I will be tempted on the weekend, but I was having anywhere from 1 to 6 a day, so none most days now, and I do not miss it as much as I thought I would.  It is harder when people are having beer and I do not want to have very many beers, a diet pop would be good.  However, water with lemon worked last weekend.   I have had tea instead of soda while dining out if I wanted more than water.   I really cannot see myself going without any beer or wine, but I can see myself having two waters for every beer, that will reduce my alcohol content significantly,   I am struggling to not eat fast food, and I have found I pack a snack bar etc., and then I grab a little something I shouldn't,  like a cheeseburger.   Thinking I should plan on a salad or something with a bar.  I have also reduced artificial sweeteners in my coffe to less than half of what they were.  I have a shot of sugar free vanilla creamer every couple days and I use a little half and half and some trivia in my coffee.  I know half and half is bad,but I had to start somewhere and I really began to believe that the artificial sweeteners could be tricking my system so we will see how that goes.  I am keeping my fiber up to at least 25 grams and some days that is easier than others.  I ended up adding fiber one fruit chews and a fiber one cookie to my evening.  I was lucky that I still had some calories due to a nice walk.   Tomorrow is a new day and I will plan lunch a little better in the morning,but I am meeting an old friend after work, two Amstel lights and four waters!
