How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

Even though I don’t need to lose much this coming month, dropping now is getting harder. I haven’t been at this weight in years, so my body is just adjusting. But with spring finally here I’ll add in more walks, and I’ll stay consistent with my four-day-a-week weight training. I’m trusting that will be enough to keep me moving in the right direction.

The biggest change I’ve made this time around is that I’ve shifted my focus entirely. Instead of obsessing over calories, I’m making sure I get at least 120g of protein a day (preferably more, but protein is hard for me and 120g is a lot of food!!) and at least 30g of fiber (again, more is better). I’m also keeping refined sugar to a minimum. My body is responding in the best way.

At 49, I know how crucial protein and strength training are…. not just for weight loss, but for keeping muscle and long-term health. I’ve been a yo-yo dieter for years, and I know how much damage that cycle has done to my body. This time, I’m looking for sustainable changes.

@bh21 Honestly, it just starts with making it a priority—until one day, it becomes a lifestyle. I’ve been working out for years, not always perfectly, but here are a few things that help me stay consistent:
1. Every time I work out when I don’t feel like it, I think of it as a 2x win. And when I do feel like it, it’s a 10x. The days I push through when I’m not in the mood are honestly the biggest victories.
2. If I really don’t want to, I tell myself, “Just do 10 minutes.” Once I start, I usually keep going. Or I’ll commit to a 10-minute walk—once I’m outside, it always feels better.
3. The hardest part is just starting. If you can get past that first 5 minutes, you’re usually good.
4. Your future self will thank you. Every workout is a deposit into a healthier, stronger version of you.
5. Pair workouts with something enjoyable—music, a podcast, or even a favorite show. It makes it feel less like a chore.
6. Track how you feel after each workout, not just how you look. That boost in energy or mood is worth everything—and can be a great reminder on tough days

@michelle yes! The 30 different veggies a week is a game changer. It’s so good for your gut health and microbes. But it is also a little challenging and changes things up. My son is 14, we try to count some weeks just to masks sure we are up there. Have been doing that for years.
