How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

  • Welcome, everyone! I'm so happy you're here! My name is Jenn, and I'll be your host.

    I enjoy doing weekly challenges as part of our game because they help keep things interactive and motivating. (Participation is optional, of course.)

    The first challenge is The Water Challenge!

    Here’s how it works if you’d like to join:
    Drink at least 64 oz. of water each day from Wednesday through Friday (February 26th - 28th).

    Starting on Friday, there will be a post at the top of the game feed here for you to comment under if you complete the challenge. The deadline to report your results is Saturday at 10:00 PM Pacific Time. The prize drawing for the $10 cash prize will be held shortly after that. Each week, the prize amount will increase!

    One additional suggestion (not part of the challenge): please introduce yourself and share your goals! Let us know where you are on your weight loss or fitness journey and what your short and long-term goals are. Just for fun, tell us where you’re from! I live in Utah.

Hi everyone! My name is Abby and I'm from Connecticut! I have been overweight for as long as I can remember and tried what feels like a million diets and health plans, so I cant really say that I'm at the beginning of my journey, but I guess I'm at the beginning of this most recent attempt.

My short term goal is to win this dietbet and get myself back on the right track with eating healthy and exercising regularly! My medium term goal is to lose enough weight between now and November that I dont have to worry about fitting on any rides at Disney or Universal when I go! My long term goal is to be under 200 lbs and feel happy and healthy and comfortable in my skin and clothes!
