Anyone else out there who is a volume eater? I would be open to low call, high volume yummy suggestions. Bonus if they're pretty easy to create. The latest thing I've made and loved, was a Butternut squash onion soup. I made it up, no recipe 😋
This is probably different than what most people think but I think of volume in terms of oh dang that's so heavy (weight/nutrients) my poor body is going to have to work so hard to process/digest that so I will go more towards liquids -water, broth, protein shake for example for volume first instead of solids and then focus on lower carb fiber veg/fruit (mostly veg or berry) protein, and some healthy fat.
Hi. This week has been difficult for me. My husband had surgery and my brother will be away for a time period between 30-90 days which is good for him.
But as I am processing and helping others I am Not helping myself. I am snacking or having more sweets. I need to some help
Sorry to her you're having a difficult week. Such great advice here already! I love that you reached out, that's what we're here for and I love how the community is here for you. We're all in this together.! <3 Sounds like you're ready to tackle your challenges, you've got this.
I know bread can be viewed as a dieting “no no” for a lot of people but sourdough is actually much easier for our bodies to digest because of the fermentation process it goes through that breaks down the gluten. It also can be good for your gut health as it contains prebiotics and has probiotic qualities. And for anyone who struggles with blood sugars making the switch to a homemade sourdough will have less of an impact on your sugars than normal bread.
If you’re having a bread craving I highly recommend finding someone local to you to purchase a homemade loaf from.
It has 3 simple ingredients. Unbleached flour, water and less than 12 grams of salt per LOAF. That is it, nothing else which is incredible.
I know this is not a normal post, but I had recently lost my 12 year old dog late Saturday/early Sunday morning. I got him the day after my 18th birthday as a puppy, he was my first dog, and was the absolutely best friend I ever had. It’s been really hard.
I’ve been in this state of not wanting to eat, or wanting to overeat comfort foods, I’ve also been sick for the last few days, nauseous and throwing up. I almost feel defeated at this DietBet because I’m just upset and have no motivation to do anything.
