  • Hey friends!

Let’s kick off the week with some feel-good movement! Sure, exercise helps with our fitness goals, but the benefits don’t stop there—think brighter moods, lower stress, and deeper sleep. Total win for your body and mind!

The magic happens when you find activities you actually love—maybe it’s grooving in the kitchen, soaking up the sun on a walk, or trying out that class you’ve been eyeing. And remember, little bursts of movement throughout the day really do add up.

So, what fun ways are you planning to move your body this week?

I missed my weight and it will be tough to catch up this round- we’ll see what happens.

Good luck on the next rounds. You still have many more chances! It’s still early in the game.

Jessica F.

This was definitely the hardest round!

I am back to where I started so it was a hard weigh in for me too. I’m going to try to focus on the end goal at this point- don’t give up- hand in there with me.

Irene P.

It’s still early in the game, so consider the additional chances. Best of luck (and planning) in the next rounds and the game.

Just to confirm, if we miss the 3% goal, we will still be allowed to stay in the game, right?

Yes you are still in the game- you just don’t get $ from this round. I knowI’m most likely not going to make my goal this round but it’s a marathon not a sprint.

CJ

That’s right, the only time where there’s a cut off is between the 5th and 6th round. They won’t let you go on past 5 if you haven’t lost at least 6% by then, because they don’t want to encourage an unhealthy sprint at the end. (And that is different from the goal to win cash in round 5 - you need to have hit the 10% by that point).

What is motivating people on their weight loss journey? I’m recovering from surgery and trying to get back to where I was before my injury.

Taking back control after a set back.

When I first started some time ago, I was in the overweight range for BMI. I also discovered that in my ethnic group, the BMI ranges are even tighter. So although I have already lost some weight and am no longer in the standard overweight range for the generally accepted BMI, I am still borderline Normal/Overweight for my ethnic group. Overall, in losing weight, I aim to be more solidly in the middle of the normal BMI range for my ethnic group, closer to my former weight when younger, while also having some other potential benefits: reducing low back pain, hip pain, knee pain, and radiculopathy; developing healthier habits so that lipids/cholesterol numbers improve; reducing the amount of visceral fat; and having improved fit/function when doing younger person activities (going uphill, using cross country skis, participating as part of an aircrew ….)
