Combo of the holidays, stress from work, and a pipe bursting in our back room (everything ruined and covered in mold) have me set back for this round. I have maintained from round 1, but I am hoping I can pull through for round 2 😭😅

Sorry you’re having such a rough time - that sounds awful. Definitely cut yourself some slack. And celebrate that you’ve maintained Round 1 despite some serious life challenges. Take care!

Breakthrough moment last night. Sat down to watch football (yay Commanders Doink our way to Detroit! 🏈) had a smallish bowl of chips and an actual serving size (not an entire container) of buffalo dip with carrots and felt satisfied. Like I was doing my football thing, not denying myself (well no beer because I'm doing dry January but didn't actually miss that too much 😆) having football snacks, but having control without really even thinking about it. I just grabbed a bowl instead of the bag of chips, dished out the dip and grabbed a bag of carrots like this is how it goes. Is this that moderation thing people keep talking about? 😂

So first of all YAY to another Commanders fan!! I had my eyes closed for the Doink! I’m still pinching myself!! Great job enjoying the game with control. I let myself have some leeway over the weekend as well. Happy Monday!

AllyBBetter

Ummmmmm EvansE can you believe that game last night?!?! We were a house divided (husband from Michigan and one kiddo huge lions fan) so I had to console a kid and hide some joy, but OMG!!!

Happy New Year! Came back from a 2 1/2 week vacation and even though I wasn’t super strict with my diet, I’m super excited that I even lost weight. Glad I was active on the trip and have more motivation starting my wellness new year a little later. I hope everyone is doing well and staying the course

Ugh, things have stalled out a bit after the holidays, thanks to tons of dessert and a pulled back muscle from moving suitcases. I need to get back into the habit of tracking (cleaned up my diet now post holidays but it's maybe not at a deficit) and hopefully back to the gym soon if my back let's me. Feel free to share any tips you have.

Hi - for me, it does help to track my food so that I stay honest with myself; and it also give me a little sense of control and power. Try not to beat yourself up over a minor setback. This is a long challenge!

Belinda R.

For me it is tracking every bite of food and upping my water intake on purpose since I won’t be thirsty with moving less. Also, not even a taste of anything not allowed on the Daniel Fast. This gives my body a different set of foods than my regular routine to mix it up. I miss my eggs most of all!!

I feel great. To continue my strong start I signed up for a 5k in March. This way I'll have a goal to work towards for my workouts. I'm also participating in dry January so that's cutting out some non nutritional calories

EvansE

I was a little off-track last week, I think I let myself slack a bit too much after meeting my one-month goal… but I got back at it this week and I feel good. This month is not going to be easy but I’m still motivated! Wishing everyone the best!

I’m thrilled to have month 1 in the books. I couldn’t be happier to be starting the New Year already on the right track. Month 2 will be challenging for me as I have work travel and will be away from home for 2 weeks, but I’m in the right mindset. Whether you won Round 1 or not, keep going!

I’ve hit my monthly goal weight. Very proud! Holidays were fun but so hectic and a lot of family stuff that sometimes leads me to stress-eat… I wish I could do my official weigh-in today… but I got this. It will feel so good to have month one behind us.

Congrats! Great start during a hectic time, but you committed to yourself. Be proud and roll into month 2 strong!

I’m feeling good going into the weekend and I hope everyone else has had a great week. I’m really close to my month-one goal, which is inspiring me to stay on track over the weekend. I am so happy that I started this challenge when I did. I’m really excited to keep up the slow and steady progress towards my 6-month goal!

Made it through the weekend with only a slight bump up on the scale! Still within a pound of the month one goal. I hope you also had a good weekend!

I'm more exhausted than anything. Enjoyed the holiday entertaining! No need for guilt! (This is new) But I'm just so tired it's hard to get going this week. I've run out of steam for all things. Trying to find a nap in the next day or two so I can rally.

Amanda F.

I went out both Friday and Sunday. I enjoyed a small snack Sunday that I split with my partner. Usually I would have had my own, so I think that’s a win
