Celebrated my birthday today with winning this dietbet.

Almost a year ago I started this journey to health and truly living. As I think back on this last year, yes I may be a year older but I am healthier, 160 lbs lighter, no joint pain, better blood pressure, and enjoying life.

That bottle of wine isn't worth it on the weekends! Ive noticed i can gain 2 lbs easy and then have to work extra hard the rest of the week to catch back up

I appreciate this game because I’m recording all my food and I am realizing the times of day that I need more support. I get the afternoon blues. And tips for 2pm crash when I need energy and the only thing around at work is junk food? I have a mad sweet tooth after lunch.

I read a suggestion for this - set an alarm for 2pm and have a protein focused snack BEFORE the afternoon slump kicks in. But you have to have the snack prepped and ready.

Thanks Shelly, I like that idea! Today I had a chocolate protein shake I grabbed during lunch and cracked it open right around 2, that really helps.

Went grocery shopping today I picked up a lot of delicious wholesome food. I’m working on smaller portions and healthier versions of my favorite items.

This coming week I will be making turkey stuffed bell peppers, naked air fried chicken thighs and for breakfast my version of Sbux egg bites and chia pudding. And for my sweet indulgence I will make baked cinnamon apples.

My mantra of the week - “I deserve to be healthy”

  • Hi all! Dietbet helped me to lose weight when I was try to conceive! So this is my first game since Feb’24 as I successfully fell pregnant later that month!

    I now have a beautiful 9month old and I’m ready to get back to feeling myself again. I’m still breastfeeding a few times a day so I do need to make sure I eat enough so my supply doesn’t plummet, but I think this diet bet is a nice steady way to lose and I can find that balance.
