As I was doing my bike dis morning
I thought of how much this game has encouraged me to deny myself in food and workout more. My pants are much looser and I’m hoping to go down a size soon!

RC

I am definitely getting stronger, and feel more fit.

  • Happy Friday, everyone! Let's talk about motivation and habits.

We all know that initial spark of motivation – it's what gets us excited to join a DietBet, what pushes us to make those first healthy choices. But what happens when that initial burst fades? That's where habits come in.

Motivation gets you started, but habits are what keep you going. Let's focus on building those sustainable habits. Maybe it's prepping your meals on Sunday, scheduling your workouts in your calendar, or simply making sure you drink enough water each day.

What's one small habit you're focusing on to help you stay on track? Share it in the comments – let's build those healthy habits together!

Walking daily. It clears my racing thoughts, helps me focus and gives me energy

Mine is making sure I purchase sufficient vegetables in my grocery trip/order for the week. Then I HAVE to eat them before they go bad, cuz they have such a short freshness life. But that means I’m choosing a salad or fresh veggies for meals and snacks over other things!

I’ve been very consistent with exercise for six months! I’m proud of that. I’ve improved my body composition and overall strength so much. During that time I’ve also cut out alcohol—another win! (I say cut-out but I suppose I mean limited. I went from having wine several times a week to having a half a glass every couple of months on a very special occasion.)

RC

My struggle: Food… I love food. I eat pretty healthy—good protein, veggies, berries, nuts… very little processed food. But I think I need to start tracking calories and I just don’t want to. But I have about 40 lbs to lose, so I need to get over it I think.

These are the best! I always felt like the bigger size was too big (and it was like 3.5 servings for the big bag). Yaye for the mini bags!

Referee Nancy

This is a great find, I agree the big bags are too much, this is perfect. I'm going to keep an eye out for them! Thanks for sharing!

Happy Valentine’s Day! ❤

I met my running mileage goals yesterday and today, ate within my goal eating window, and managed to stay on track with my nutrition (even with the cookies at my preschooler’s party yesterday and the cupcakes I made with my kiddos today). 🍪

Did a big ole grocery haul today so I’m sure to stick to my goal. Not sure what I’ll be whipping together but I got plenty of stuff!

I’ll be staying busy this weekend making 16 sourdough bread bowls. Someone asked if I would make them for a luncheon and I took on the challenge. Haven’t made bread in a few weeks so I’m excited dig in this weekend. Even more excited for how my house is going to smell! One of my absolute fav smells! Happy weekend everyone! Stay strong and stick to your goals. Remember if the weekend doesn’t pan out like you planned you can always start over Monday! We still have a good chunk of game left to buckle down!

Wow! I’ve failed twice at making a starter… ordering one is not a bad idea.

Lexus W.

RC , oh for sure. I wouldn’t even bother trying to make one. Your SD journey will be much less frustrating if you get one from a friend or order one from someone!

  • Happy Friday, everyone! The weekend is almost here, and that often means a shift in routines. But that doesn't have to mean abandoning our healthy habits!

This weekend, let's focus on feeling empowered by planning ahead. Think about your meals and snacks for the next few days. Prepping a few key ingredients or even just jotting down some meal ideas can make a world of difference. Thinking ahead to strategize going out to eat, or attending an event with food are keys to your long-term success, too!

What are some strategies you use to stay on track during the weekend? Share your tips in the comments – let's inspire each other!

I’ve been trying to pop on my treadmill or peloton bike after dinner, even if I’ve already worked out. I ride, walk or jog after dinner just to ensure extra energy burn after my biggest meal of the day. This is my biggest change this week. I know it will help! Good luck all!!
