If Melissa isn’t able to host, I’ve decided to give it a try! Melissa, let me know if you do want to host. Otherwise…here are options:

I really appreciated the accountability and realized I just need to simplify my meals, stop looking at endless recipes on IG and Pinterest, and just repeat my meals for WLD. Weekends/social events/afternoon snacks are still things I need to work on so going to read Ilana-isms and keep tracking!

I know this is 2 b mindset group. Has anyone in this group ever do 21 day fix.? Not planning on going back to 21 day fix I'm just looking for help to get out of the mindset. When I think I have left that behind I start sliding back in to it . No hate on 21 day fix I just felt restricted on it and would end up binge eating

I used to use Portion Fix (21 day fix) and I just found that it didn’t work as well especially if I’m at social events or eating out. I am really finding these little podcasts that Ilana put out after her book released and after the Super Block released super helpful. She has so many helpful tips and mindset shifts for all kinds of challenges. I listen to them on Spotify but you can also search YouTube and find old calls. They are her old weekly calls and she answers questions. I also found going through this Super Block again is helping me make 2B Mindset more of a habit. Hope this helps!

I did 21 day fix and I did lose weight on it but those little colored containers and not knowing how many containers recipes or non 1 item ingredients were drove me crazy. I admit I kind of combined the 2 even though you aren’t really supposed to…I struggle with portion control on 2b mindset sometimes because I’m such a volume eater.

I struggle with this too…it has helped me to stick to main meals on a plate and track as you go! And get out of the kitchen when not eating a meal.

  • I definitely benefit when I food prep lunches. Since I take it with me to work and usually don’t have time to go anywhere, this helps keep me from eating sweets and treats that are sometimes around at work. For dinner food prep, I often do what KT does and just make part of the dinner to save me a little time in the evening. One thing I’ve done lately is buy individually packaged chicken from Costco (in picture). These have been a great quick protein for me boys or I can add it to a frozen meal for extra protein.

Meal prepping breakfast is probably the only one I would be consistent with. I used to be a 21 day fix person and got burned out with all the meal prep to stay within my containers so I have a bad habit of not eating meal prep food I cook

I never used to drink water but now I always drink half my body weight by chugging it before meals. I need to work on tracking throughout the day. I wonder if writing down food before I eat it will prevent me from eating silly treats

  • Day 17: Push Past a Plateau
    Getting in a weight loss groove. Here are some key points I took away from todays video.

    Problem Stating vs. Problem Solving
    Ilana’s Top Tips to keep us from plateauing
    Circle or Highlight in your tracker all the silly foods in your tracker - this can help you pinpoint where maybe those Bites, Licks and Tastes (BLTs) have lead to mindless eating.
    Break up the day into quarters (for example 6am-10am, 10am-2pm, 2pm-6pm and 6pm-10pm) - this can help you identify which of these blocks are your strongest and where you can be making improvements.

    Mindset has to progress with your weight loss. Journal which foods and habits are not working for you. Keep your goals and future vision top of mind.

    What are some changes you want to make in order to push past any sticking points?

I was really proud of myself for attending to BLTs yesterday and focused! Scale went down a tiny smudge, but more importantly, I was really conscious about my choices and felt good about them!

  • It’s been a crazy busy work day and trying not to be on the phone in the evenings when I’m with my kids, but just wanted to check in and very inspired by all of you and your transparency and meals! I overate yesterday and scale was up (ugh) but not letting it spiral and made better choices today…

That looks yummy! Question: were you hungry after lunch? I am usually good between breakfast and lunch but boy do I get hungry after lunch! I find I really need a high protein snack to get me through. Just curious about others’ experiences

I usually eat a protein bar or apple with Babybel cheese but work was so crazy this day, and I’m an optometrist so I can’t eat when I’m super busy! I was starving!!!
