  • Last full week!! Kicking off with a yummy Monday breakfast with only 380 calories! (if you are not already on the potato train, it’s time! Especially if you make them, pop them in the fridge overnight, they are super low on the glycemic index and really add to satiety!)

  • I have always loved the Jewish High Holy Days.
    It's a special time for reflection of the past year and for making plans for the coming year. And reflection often focuses on personal relationships and making a positive difference in the world. I catch up with friends, try to finish projects, and try to take the small stuff more in stride.
    As far as my weight loss journey, I'm looking at the progress I've made since last fall - and the falls before that.
    And I hope running this group has made a positive impact on at least a few of my fellow journeyers.
    It's a perfect time for me to encourage everyone to take stock for a moment. If you've been with me all year, how has it gone? What would you change? What can you let go of?

I appreciate you for these encouraging games. I’ve been lurking for a while but I’ve finally tried to get serious. I’ve lost 30 pounds since February and 50 overall. It’s a constant struggle but I can count on your challenges for motivation. Thanks.

  • I think my plate is between 475-525 calories of high protein deliciousness!! Shrimp, zucchini, bell pepper, onion, garlic and spinach on couscous with a sesame-soy sauce glaze and cilantro. And I have dinner for the rest of the week!!

Your dishes look amazing!! I made a Farro (spelt) with cherry tomatoes, black olives, feta cheese, red onions, capers, evoo, boiled chick peas and salt&pepper! It's so filling

  • I just made the best dressing tonight- a bunch of cilantro, some garlic cloves, lime juice, Greek yogurt, olive oil, and a bell pepper- SO GOOD!! I’ve got a delicious topping for my raw veggies for the weekend now!
