You can do this. Have you tried any new veggies or recipes or take out that might make your Plate It more motivating? Invest in things that help you succeed. Share where you struggle with this group and you might get some great ideas to help. I have to load up my fridge with good veggie choices or else I get bored and eat my kids snacks.

Any advice for getting back on track. The first two days of the diet bet I was so committed but am in Los Angeles and between the inability to go outdoors, the total stress and then having to leave town and come back my eating has suffered. Still can’t exercise outdoors and my regular fitness class has been cancelled. Trying to get it back together but it’s not happening. Any other LA folks experiencing similar issues??

I would sign up for Beach body BODi it has workout and 2bmindset and the workout can be done anywhere. I know being on the go can be tricky when it comes to eating. Focus on water first veggie most and protein if you can try and get canned veggies and the chicken, salmon,or tuna in a pouches to have on hand look for low carb breads and snacks with a good amount of protein in them to have in hand.

so I guess Ilana isn’t doing the weekly calls for this dietbet? I wish she had made that more clear before I signed up. I feel terrible about everything happening in LA right now and I can understand that she has a lot going on. but I do think if she made a formal announcement saying whether she is going to do the calls or not it would clear up a lot of confusion.

I have been walking and hiking every day! Yesterday i walked for over an hour-5.5km. And I have been doing workouts on BODi everyday. And sticking to the 2B mindset program. In the beginning I was down 2lbs and now I gained back the two lbs and it has been like this for a while. Feeling a bit frustrated as I am actually heavier than I have been in years. But maybe it is water retention?

Many factors at play. Stick with the mindset. Exercise is necessary for good health but sometimes does not help us lose weight - which is not a bad thing but it can be frustrating to reconcile.

Hopefully you can get some activity in! I feel like I’m more active away from my usual routine. You can check out online menus for the restaurants you go to so you can pre-plan too!

Over Christmas I stopped at the store and bought a bag of seedless mini bell peppers to eat on the road trip and any time I needed a veggie boost. Wondering if there’s one you like that you could get? I kinda felt like a weirdo but no regrets!

  • We've had a crazy few days between celebrating our foster son's first birthday and several huge adjustments with his mama's situation. It's been a rollercoaster of a weekend-week start.
    The party is over, our more hectic playdates for the week are over, and I'm actively working to prep ahead for great success with what remains of this week.
    I'm still working to lean into intermittent fasting (per recommendations from my local RDN and "Fast Like a Girl" instructions on tying it to female hormonal cycles.) so far, it's been helpful in retraining me not to take bites, licks and tastes and I did see a good response on the scale the first week. I'm hopeful!

Totally! But for some reason having the additional info on what happens DURING the fasting periods and working to extend them a couple hours has made a big difference for me

  • Early morning workout today - Pilates mat workout because I love a barefoot workout in the morning. Feeling good about my food prep but need to make sure I get plenty of water. I’m going to stay away from the break room today at work so I’m not as tempted by the treats (there’s still treats from the holidays in there, ugh!)!
