  • It will be 2 years in Aug. since I started my weight loss journey

I have officially lost 80 pounds. Today I was 170.9. It’s been very slow, but steady. In the last 3 months I’ve lost 6 pounds. Averaging 8oz. a week is tiny, but it adds up. I’m still about 5 pounds above the “healthy” BMI weight range and I’m just fine if I never make that. I’m just so much more comfortable and happy at this size.

I went from XXL (18-20) and now I’m an XL (14-16) in pants/skirt and L (12-14) in tops. I absolutely love having so many more choices for clothes!

I haven’t made the monthly goals, but I’m still hopeful for our final July weigh in.

I have a question. I’m flying to Portugal on May 31th till the third June how can I do my weight out for round five on the first or second of June? I cannot take a scale with me.

Me too. I was going on a sailing trip and they allowed me to submit a day early. You have to write DietBet and get them to approve it before you submit.

Thank you all for your Tipps. I Wrote to @dietbet and hope I will get an answer soon.

  • Aloha Friday, friends! 🌺

As we head into the weekend, let’s talk about keeping motivation alive when routines change.

Weekends can feel different, but your goals are still yours.

Instead of relying on motivation alone, try:
    • Planning ahead just a little
    • Keeping one or two “anchor habits”
    • Remembering how far you’ve come since January

You don’t need to be perfect, you just need to stay connected to your progress.

Motivation isn’t about feeling fired up all the time.
It’s about choosing to keep going, even in small ways.

Question: What’s one thing that will help you stay on track this weekend?

You’ve come too far to stop now. Finish the week strong. You’ve got this! 🌊

Leigh W.

I am really trying to stick to a 12-8pm eating window & not go back for seconds.

  • Hey Aloha crew! 🌺

Midweek check-in: how’s your motivation feeling?

Here’s the truth, you don’t need to feel motivated to keep going.

Motivation is great when it shows up… but consistency carries you when it doesn’t.

    Try this simple shift:
👉 Instead of “I don’t feel like it,” ask “What’s the smallest step I can take today?”

    A short walk.
A better choice at one meal.
    Drinking more water.

Small actions build momentum and momentum brings motivation back.

Check-in: What’s one small win you’ve had this week?

Keep going. You’re still in it, and that matters!

We had cake for Mother’s Day & I had just a small slice! I also ran 6.5 miles - 1.5 more than I had anticipated that morning!

  • Happy Monday!

We’re a few months into this journey, and this week is all about motivation!

Let’s be honest: motivation isn’t always there. It comes and goes. That’s normal.

The key isn’t waiting for motivation. It’s reconnecting to your “why.”

Why did you start on January 1st?
What were you hoping to feel, change, or accomplish?

    Motivation can come from:
    • Progress you’ve already made
    • How good you feel after showing up
    • Reminding yourself what matters most

And sometimes, motivation follows action, not the other way around.

Question: What’s one thing that motivates you right now, big or small?

Let’s reset and keep moving forward together!

At my lowest weight in over 20 years, I've lost 28kg so far. I need a new wardrobe; my pants fall off me. I'm even considering taking my baby swimming for the first time. I loved it as a child, but have been too self-conscious for years to go.

I didn’t focus on diet and exercise this month. Hit goal weight for the round at the beginning. I did win the round with plenty of wiggle room but not much in the way of progress this month. I guess it was like being in maintenance mode.

I’m recommitting myself to be strict again. It won’t be challenging to hit the round goal but I really want to get out of obese BMI and into “overweight.

Debating a kickstarter for extra motivation but it may be hard to lose 4% in a month when I’ve been dieting/losing for several months now. Anyone else doing a kickstarter this month?

No. I can’t do those anymore cos I’ve been losing for 1.5 years and it’s slow and steady. Took me several rounds to start winning even this challenge because I don’t lose a lot at once. Wish the goal steps in these 6 month challenges were spaced out more evenly rather than expecting you lose a lot at first! Good luck to you!

Lisa P.

Thanks everyone. I am doing well - hit the next round goal unexpectedly today.

I think 4% in a month would be hard now. Lose is much slower and I go through plateaus and then slow lose. I did overlapping transformers and maybe that’s the way to go - although the first 2 months at 3% each month will be a challenge!

I’m not a member so the maintenance and longer games or lower % options for bets are not open to me.

Good luck everyone!

I am almost 39 and I am so upset. I work so hard to lose every pound and then over spring break/ post lent I spent 1 week on vacation and gained 5 pounds and set myself back 3 months! It is such a struggle to lose the weight but it is so easy to gain it back. I have an appointment next week to check my hormones because I think I am hitting perimenopause because 5 years ago it wasn't this hard to lose weight. I am so frustrated that I won't be making my goal for this month and I have to be very strict with my diet for the next month to get back on track. I was so happy with my progress and all of that out the window in 1 week ☹️

I do intermittent fasting as well 16:8 and track calories on MyFitnessPal app. Hang in there and find what works for you. I wish I could say it gets easier but if you start good habits now it will be better. I’m 53 :scream:

Amanda M.

How are you doing now? Some of it could be water weight (hopefully!) - my weight fluctuates a few lbs day to day. It’s crazy. Intermittent fasting window (like eating only 11 AM to 5 PM), lots of water, low sodium and low carb the few days before a weigh-in have helped me. Also detox teas and options to shed retained water can help. Good luck!
