Non-scale victory of the week!

Just making it through the week without throwing in the towel and giving up was my non-scale victory this week.

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

Sleep could DEFINITELY be better!

I just want to get back on track. I had an off-week; my goal right now is to move forward again.

Non-scale victory of the week!

I'm at a plateau weight for me. Previously, so many times I've gotten to this weight only to stay here for a while and then start gaining again. I'm working on breaking that pattern, and to do that, I'm definitely eating healthier. Entering everything that I eat into an app is helping with that. I was tired this week, and one night I was so tempted to just get something "healthy" at drive-through, but I came home and made myself a delicious fish dish instead: tilapia filets baked on top of cherry tomatoes. It was delicious, btw!

My sleep is a MESS this week.

What are your goals for the upcoming week?

I had a medical procedure where I can't exercise for a couple of weeks, so in lieu of that, I've just been trying to get in 5K steps each day, although for at least one day, even that wasn't possible. And missing exercise contributes to my insomnia, so this week, I'm just going try to accept that I still can't exercise and work on my insomnia.

Non-scale victory of the week!

I have a once-a-month group lunch at a German restaurant where most dishes have LOTS of carbs. I realized I could order a bratwurst with sauerkraut - very few carbs, and I was totally happy with the meal!

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

I'm still working on sleep, but I've started logging everything I eat each day. This is huge for me!

Working on sleep is ongoing (and I am improving) and also, I'm eating healthier and enjoying it!

My eating habits are IMPROVING!

I'm working on my sleep hygiene, and although I've improved on that, too, there's definitely A LOT MORE room for improvement.

I want to work more on sleep hygiene this week, i.e., getting to bed (and going to SLEEP) at a decent hour. Tough, because I've had insomnia since I was a child.

My daughter gave me a gym-membership in January and yesterday I went to the gym for the first time. Late, I know, but better late than never, right?

My schedule has been off, and I'm still eating late at night.

What do you find most challenging in reaching your long-term weight loss goals?

I usually plateau out at around 150 pounds. I have a small frame, and that's at least 30 pounds of excess weight.
