  • I've decided to lean into my stereotype and started listening to true crime podcasts on my walks 😆 Here's a few I found which look good based on reviews, but I've only tried Red Handed so far. Any suggestions for good true crime podcasts, or comments on these would be very welcome.

Cravings! ? Whenever I limit certain foods, once I eventually have them again the cravings for more come back strong - to overeat at that time and to want more of it going forward.

Even when I’ve tried to incorporate those favorites into my regular diet to combat a potential deprivity mindset, I still overeat them and want more in general. I hate to think I can’t have a slice of cookie cake here and there at a party, or have chips & salsa on occasion etc, but I do find anytime I let these types of foods in I spiral for almost a week before I can nip it!

I prioritize protein, and I hit my fluid goals, but I’m still frequently hungry.

Please send help, bc I LOVE enjoying my foods!

Why am I not able to do updated weigh in’s? I can send unofficial weights but nothing official.

  • It had been a while since I did a cut and OMG forgot how hard it is to have self control with food. I have always been an overeater. What keeps me going is knowing this challenge is short term and that if I don’t put in the work, I won’t get the results.

I start my day with a big breakfast, I go for a lighter lunch and then a bigger dinner with rice
cakes for dessert and it seems to be a good rhythm for me.

I’m a big breakfast person, too! It’s easily my biggest meal of the day, and most calorie dense. Really helps set me up for success! Glad it’s working for you!

I had a bad nutrition day yesterday. I started strong with my shakeology for breakfast as usual. My work schedule was messed up I couldn't eat lunch until like after 2 which is too late. I was bloated and couldn't really eat then. I had my salad and then I had a piece of Buffalo chicken pizza for dinner. So stuffed and ended it with 2 pieces of Reese's. What's done is done. This is my program once I have one thing go wrong I just keep going. I have to break this! Starting today walking on my walking pad.

That walking pad is a game changer for getting movement in instead of sitting in the couch and watching TV

The good thing is, we can always start over.

Feeling hungry in the evening and need a crunchy snack?

First!! Be sure you have the room for it in your calorie allotment. If you are wanting an evening snack but find you don't have the room for it, look ahead and make some small adjustments to your meals to make room for a snack in the evening.

Some crunchy evening snack ideas...

- Rice cakes with toppings of your choice (cottage cheese, Peanut butter, Greek yogurt, hummus, etc)
- Greek yogurt with a handful of low/no sugar cereal (Chex, plain cheerios)
- Celery w/ Peanut butter
- Carrots/celery/cucumbers/peppers w/ hummus
- Apple w/ Peanut Butter

And as always, remember to track!

Rice cakes with cookie dough hummus is life! I use the thin ones from trader joe’s and top with lots of hummus.

I fear I lean too much into peanut butter :joy:

Happy Monday!

How’d your weekend go?? Are there any tweaks you need to make this week?

I had vodka, more than one:relaxed:and gained 1 of the 5.8 lbs I had lost as of Friday, which was bananas, so I am happy with a 4.8 loss for last week. My expectations for this week are lower, hoping for 2lbs, which seems more reasonable than last week!

How is everyone losing weight this quickly!?! I am tracking my food, hitting my macros (110g protein daily) and nothing is happening. I'm SO frustrated.

Jessica K. is now the MVP in the game! They invited 1 friend to the game yesterday.

Hi all!

UPDATE!
Emails have been sent out to everyone with the links for all the fitness & nutrition materials and also the link for our first live this Sunday. Please check spam if you do not see it and contact the support team at support@dietbet.com if still not there.

Thanks!

….

It has been recently made known to us that the DietBet game activity, including posts are viewable to the public for the first two weeks of the game. Obviously we want to reward those (and only those) that have paid the money to participate with the materials we’ve promised. We’ve removed the links for now and are working with the DietBet team to get them emailed to only those that have joined the game.

Thank you for your patience. Update to come ASAP!

  • Back from holiday yesterday which got me back into running while I was there, and I've made a meal plan for the next week (I know there will be nutrition help posted soon too, for now I've just done what works for me with food sensitivities 😉)... Treating this week as a "prep week" to get my head in the game, ready for the actual 4 weeks. I'm so glad Joel and Megan are running this DietBet right now, since I definitely need to check back in mentally, and Joel's last game (ages ago) definitely helped me do that.

    My mental blocks:
    This week - "Prep week"
    May - DietBet game
June/July - 25 Minute Speed Train - After seeing this great piece of advice (from an ex-BODi coach, now affiliate), I'm treating these 8 weeks as though I'm in the test group and therefore have to be all in to show what the programme can do.
August - Not thought that far ahead yet 😆

Love this! I am in for the challenge of treating Speed Train like a test group

Interested in the speed train. Hope you post.
