  • I’m sharing this because it is my fastest run in quite some time. SAD got the best of me this past fall and my runs have been pretty slow. After some medication and light therapy, I’m finally coming back. For anyone else who is battling depression or SAD, don’t give up! You CAN do it too!
    A funny side note.. there was a huge hill as we were approaching the local dam. We were pretty excited to conquer it hence the name of the run!

  • Saturdays are for long runs!
    Today was bit different. We have a cold weather warning. I live in GA and my body is not equipped for these “feels like” single digits. I don’t know how those northerners do it! ?

Haha Polly. Us Northerners go south haha.
All joking aside, we bundle up and take up outdoor sports like skiing, or snowshoeing, skating, etc. It's so much fun to slide down a hill on a toboggan - the exercise is in climbing back up!
Hockey is fun too.
I count my indoor chores too. Vacuuming, window washing, walls, ceilings... they do make us sweat. I like the indoor recumbent bike, and pilates too.

Joy, I’m sure I would get used to it if I had to. I did take skiing lessons a few years ago in Japan and absolutely loved it!
It very rarely gets cold here though. My entire city shuts down if we see even one snowflake :joy:

Hello! I was at my goal weight last August and then fall hit and along with it SAD and depression! I’m back on medication and ready to get my weight back under control. I love to run and I know it will be easier to hit the paces that I want when I drop some pounds! I have to keep that in mind during this game. Good luck to everyone! 😃
