Just added creatine to my supplements. A tad worried that the water weight gain might wind up making me lose this one. But its a risk worth taking. I am trying to get my muscles back to how I had em before the weight gain. Not an easy task... but through hard work its possible. And its the over arching goal of my fitness journey. So losing a round and a bit of money but converting a few lbs of fat to muscle is still a win in my book.

May or may not win this one im over halfway there. But we shall see...

Wish me luck! Today was leg day!

The good news is that muscle has memory. You will regain the muscle you had much faster this time around.

Yeah im noticing im getting pretty quick gains. Almost like the "noob" gains back in the day. Im not exactly sure where I was but im going to try to blow past it.

  • Been doing every one of Lexi's dietbets since April, some days I need the side by side to really see how far I've come. Still such a long way to go. But I already feel so much better!

Way to keep after it!

@Julie, I cut out sugar and carbs. Drinking only water, though I've been bad about not drinking as much as I should lately. I start my mornings off with eggs and other protein like sausage, bacon, steak. Sometimes I'll treat myself and get the low carb bread from Aldi that is like 10g carbs per slice and have 2 slices for French toast. I stick to broccoli, cauliflower, squash, zucchini, spinach, Brussel sprouts for veggies and all the meats! Lunch is either meat and cooked veggies or a salad with steak or chicken depending on where I get it (chipotle or chick fil a). If my family orders pizza I get buffalo wings.

Does anyone have any kind of visual to track the number of days they’ve been going at this? I’m almost thinking like a sticker chart, like when you do with kids! But I don’t know exactly what I’m thinking and how I want to track it. But I want to be able to look at something let’s say six months from now, and see that I’ve been on this path for 175 days. Or maybe like pennies in a jar. Something I can put like on my bathroom counter, or on a closet door, or something like that. Does anyone do this? Or have any good ideas?

Michelle I journal daily all my movements, meditation, food and so much other stuff but I also use a habit tracker every month because I helps me to visually fill in boxes and see the work on one page I’ll post a pic

Great Job. I see you hired the world famous personal trainer. The picture got a glimpse of him. But I hear he could really be tough on his clients.

  • Hello everyone! Our game officially starts today and i'm so ready to stay accountable with you! For those of you who may not know me my name is Lexi (fatgirlfedup). I joined my first dietbet in 2016 and it helped me to lose 312lbs in two years with diet/exercise. No meal plan, surgery, personal trainer, but just counting my calories, focusing on my diet with 30-60 mins of exercise 5x a week in the beginning. Here's a few things to get started:
    - Welcome! Together we are losing pounds and have become a community full of love, encouragement, and support! It brings me great joy to host and I love being part of such a positive weight loss space. We will have others joining us for 2 weeks so be sure to invite friends, family, and coworkers. You may literally save their life just by getting them to join in on the fun!
    - Diet is key! I use myfitnesspal to track all the food i'm eating and it helped me learn about nutrition labels, log my water/workouts, and showed me my progress!
    - MOVE! Try to get atleast 30 minutes of exercise 4-5x a week even if it's just walking. Every step adds up! I started with the elliptical 5x a week in the beginning as I was 485lbs and it helped me to not kill my knees. Start where you can and just focus on moving daily.
    - WATER is your best friend! I aim to drink a gallon a day. Water helps to keep you full, boost your metabolism, and can even help your skin while losing weight!
    - Let's be friends! Be sure to tag #fatgirlfedupsdietbet on all social media so we can find & cheer each other on!
    - PICTURES. Sometimes the scale doesn't tell the full story so be sure to take ALL the before pictures. I promise you WILL want them and we can't wait to see your transformation!
    - Any technical or weigh in problems email support@dietbet.com as they are amazing and super quick with helping!

We're all in this together, let's do this! <3

Great job getting back. For me, if you can believe it, It's been 7 years since I completed my last diet bet. I also have lacked motivation so decided to try DB. to get some back.

Hi all! This is my first dietbet and I’m not sure how to proceed. When do I need to get on the scale for the first time? I can’t find where it says how to do it. Thanks for your help!
