How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

  • I’m getting up early to go for a 5km run before work & I’m also going to portion control & forego any sweet treats & carb heavy meals. The past few days I’ve been very relaxed with my food choices, in part because I reached round 2 goal but also because we were hosting an international high school student & I made things like risotto & mac n cheese + dessert, which I ate with the family. On the one hand it was freeing to “eat what I want”… but, after two months of really conscious food choices, I could see how being somewhat unrestrained with eating is a slippery slope… I didn’t feel better for it (on the contrary), but I could see how easy it would be to slip back into that way of eating (the more you eat the more you want sort of thing).

Sandy, I think I’ve definitely caught the “running bug”… even though I may not look like a runner :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Yet. I’ve actually run 5kms (just over 3 miles) for the last 7 consecutive mornings & when I wake up I’m generally excited to get out the door… & plan my time/runs the night before eg make school lunches in advance. I’ve registered for my first ever half marathon on 1 June so I need to get the miles in, although I don’t want to risk injury by overdoing it! I liked your toenail tip btw… on both my feet the toenails next to my big toes have become raised/bruised but this is a thing that happens to me irrespective of my weight or whether I road or treadmill run… it must just be to do with my strike and load distribution. None of the other toenails are affected and the two which are I cover up my polish. You are preparing for a marathon (or is it an ultramarathon?) later this year, right?

Sandy B.

Hi Dale! Yes! I'm training for a marathon in May, and an ultra (100 miler) in October! It took me losing 3 toenails to figure out I need to trim them, and trim them VERY short lol

P.S. if you run, you look like a runner!!!
