How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

  • What? We're done? Where did the 6 months go?

Thank you for your support and encouragement throughout this Transformer! I have enjoyed seeing your reports of successes and struggles. You have helped make this process easier by making it known that we were not alone in our efforts!

I don't make my weight public - I have in the past, but it's still so high that it's an embarrassment to admit I've let myself go that far.

But this morning, I'm posting my weigh-in result, because while it's always a goal to win the game I'm in, I had one important goal in mind when we started this game back on January 27th.

This morning, I SURPASSED THAT GOAL! For the first time in probably 4 years, my weight doesn't start with a 3! I turned in a weight of 299!

For the Transformer, I lost 55.2 pounds in 6 months. I can't celebrate with a cheat meal, though, because I have a round 2 Transformer weigh-in next weekend, and I'm still 2.5 pounds away from winning that round.

But the celebration is ringing through my head at the moment, and I know this is a huge motivational moment to help me keep going! I'm better than I was on January 27th, but I'm not done yet!

That is so awesome Keith!! It has been a privilege to journey the last 6mos weight loss together, and celebrating these incredible victories with each other at the end make it so rewarding. All the best as you continue in your other transformer! Give yourself a great non-food related reward today :raised_hands:

Keith, I’ve just teared up reading this. You are so deserving of this incredible scale victory, along with all the NSVs which accompany it. Congratulations on such an amazing result! I know you are pressing ahead with your new healthier habits and weight loss pursuit, but I hope you will stop long enough to alllow yourself to really feel and acknowledge your efforts and this victory, and to “bask in it”. What you have done so many can’t/don’t.

Feeling ashamed of ourselves often isolates us & locks us into the very situation or behaviour that we feel ashamed of… I’ve found on my journey of change and self-improvement (the weight loss of which is only one component, albeit an important one, in my case) that becoming my own “best friend” & extending myself the care & compassion I regularly do others, has been key. As has been accepting where I’m at but not castigating myself for it; recognising that I’m not an inherently “bad”, inadequate or defective person; and believing in my ability to change parts of my life and choices which were making me feel “less than”.

I want to thank you for all your contributions over the past 6 months. Your presence has been joyous, affirming, and inspirational! All the best to you and yours Keith.
