I want to focus more on good food choices/increased activity and less on the numbers on the scale. In the last week I have fluctuated 10lbs! Is this water? How can I track improvements if my scale numbers are so inconsistent? Feeling frustrated my starting weight is so much higher than I expected after winning my last diet bet.

Your best bet is to measure! The scale hadn’t moved for me in 2 weeks but I was down 2 inches. The scale tells lies! lol

Yes food consumption with added salt can cause more water weight! Yes always measure! Because all the scale is telling you is the size of the mass not the full picture! Be patient with yourself don’t stress!
