How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

  • My weight loss journey has been long, decades really. I’ve had many stops and starts and back slides. My profile pic actually shows me at my highest ever and the lowest I ever got back in 2020. I was 100lbs down that year. I gained half back since then. So I restarted my journey yet again this past January. I’ve lost 30lbs since then (for a total of 79lbs down). Yesterday I had to once again remove clothing from the rotation that are now too big. I’ve been here many times before and many times I’ve had to add them back. Here’s to hoping this will be the last time I wear this size. But I feel like it’s bad luck to get rid of them too soon so here they’ll sit in my bedroom as a reminder to stay the course. Best of luck to all in your journey.

Stephanie, you motivated me to try on some jeans that I haven’t worn in forever. And what a pleasant surprise, they fit great! I’m wearing them now to work and I’m so excited. I’m so glad you posted this. Im soooo happy for you and you motivated me too!

Stefanie, great job. I do recommend putting them away in a box or something. Kinda like outta-sight, outta-mind so that you’re not unconsciously seeing them as a safety net. I totally get not wanting to get rid of them yet— I’m the same way and have had to go back up myself. You’ve got this!!
