How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

How much weight did you loose before people around you noticed? I know it's a vain question and there is a lot behind the question mostly stress but I'm not eating my stress feelings anymore. Just wondered what number people started noticing for you? Let me know and how you felt hearing all your hard work was paying off.

I lost 80 pounds years ago, and I think people started noticing after about 30 pounds. Clothes make a difference too – if you’re still wearing the same clothes it might be harder to notice!

I started in March, wanting to 120 lbs. About 30 lbs was when people really started noticing and telling. I agree with Martha that it might have been a little harder because I was still wearing a lot of my old clothes that were getting big on me. To save money, I try to by just the correct size but only when on clearance or even new from a quick trip to Goodwill. I don't plan to be in the new smaller size long and don't want to spend a lot. Keep up the hard work!
