How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

Only one week to go, and Halloween is this week! My eating usually goes south near Halloween with all the candy floating around. Anybody have any strategies for avoiding the candy and staying on track with my eating plan so I can win this DietBet game?

If you haven't already opened your candy, don't open it until you're about to give it away. Try to cut out sugar from your diet now. If you can train yourself not to have sugar now, if you eat the candy it will taste too sweet and you won't enjoy it (this is where I'm at for myself - the candy doesn't even taste good to me anymore and I don't enjoy it). Whatever is left after Halloween, get out of the house ASAP. If you have kids and can't get rid of their candy, bag it up and put their names on it. That's theirs. It's not for you. See, it has their name on it. Respect that.
