How do you verify the weight loss?
For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

DietBet does keep a portion of the pot and that is disclosed in the FAQ, https://www.dietbet.com/faq#faq-tab-money. For this game, it was 25%, which is what it has been since DietBet started over 10 years ago. This percentage is based on the financial commitment for the game and for all games where the commitment is under $100, the percentage kept will be 25% unless the No Lose Guarantee kicks in.
None of what DietBet does is done by AI, it's done by the CS team and the dev team. All weigh ins are reviewed by the CS team and all emails are answered directly. We currently have a team of 10 people who work on the DietBet app.
While winnings on this game are lower than some other games, the winnings for this January 1st kickstarter is the highest I've seen in a few years. January games tend to have the highest win rates of all the games during the year because players are committed to their goals.
