How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

I've lost and that's ok.

This is actually my first time losing a Dietbiet. This year got very busy and I neglected both my diet and work out routine. To make my first few weigh-ins I wasn't eating properly and basically starving myself to lose weight. When I noticed this trend, I decided if I couldn't win by getting healthy, I'd lose.

I spent around 2-3 months living a less than optimum lifestyle. There was sometimes an extra bowl of ice cream of soda late at night. I stopped lifting and doing pull-ups. Then I started to realize how much less energy I had during the day.

At the start of June I snapped out of it. I started tracking my work outs again. Started making more food for myself that was healthy and cut out late night snacking/sodas. Over the last few weeks my sleep has improved, my body feels better and I just overall have more energy.

I may have lost most of my money on this Dietbet but I'm happy with the progress I'm making. My body seems to want to drift to over 200 and I want to keep it at around 180. My goal is to get off the rollercoaster of weight gain and weight loss and live a whole year at the weight that keeps me energetic and strong. This likely means stopping an obsession over weight and putting the attention on how I feel.

Best of luck to everyone as this Dietbet comes to a close!
