How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

  • Hi everyone my name is Jenni. All my friends call me JenniBratz. This is my first time joining a game of DietBet.

I did two a StepBet before that I hated so much but that I succeeded so the app definitely did its work with obligating me to motivate me.

So today I decided to try DietBet. I'm probably gonna hate it too, but hopefully it will do its work and finally make me loose weight.

I know i'm not "THAT BAD", I know there's worse in life but it doesn't remove the fact that i've been trying to lose 8kg for the past 30y without success and it's killing me mentally. I have a problem with food. Sometime I work out every day for months then absolutely nothing for months. I can eat super clean through the day with vegetables and protein and at the end of the day, eat 20 cookie at once. Every time I weight myself, I cry, and nobody understand me because "it's not that bad", "it's only 8kg", "it'll be easy", well, I know it doesn't sound super hard. But for me, it is not doable. And every time I succeed into losing 1 or 2 or 3 kg, 1 or 2 days later I binge eat and take it all back.

Everyone on Instagram always tell me how "lucky" I am to look good but what they don't know is that I starve myself for 4 days before an event that requires pictures. Yeah I can go to 4 days water fast, then obviously I take everything back within a day or 2. I know I have a problem. I've tried everything. So let's see, let's give this a try. I'm trying to be accountable. Otherwise I may consider some other alternative with those insuline things but even though I know I have a problem there's always this voice in my head that says "it's only 8kg" and I should be able to do it by myself without meds hurting my health. But I'm already hurting it if I'm being honest with myself. So let's see!

Sorry for the dump. For once I felt like opening up and be accountable with my behavior ??

Lol Theresa. I'm def no way close to Anorexic. Lol. XD but you know what that's a good reminder that they are also ppl struggling in the other side of the scale. And my surplus kilos still allow me to be strong. I'll take that as a positive reminder of my surplus kilos are not 100% bad. :)

Thank you Lynette! I'm actually debating on whats the best between - learning how to watch a little of it or - not having any of it because i obviously cant rationalize it. It's tough. I'm trying to rat berries to compensate but it's obviously not the same. And yes I'm making moves!!! I registered here for the first time, i registered to the gym again 3 days ago. But I'm heavier now than 3 days ago when i started the dietbet so not a very good sign, but I still have almost 2w so I'll try to stay positive and motivated ?
