Hey folks! Sitting on the couch again, feeling rubbish again, finally decided to actually take things seriously and sign up.

The last couple of years, my health and fitness has slipped and I've gained 30lb as a result. Time to get the wheels in motion and refocus on what matters.

Good luck everyone! 🙌✨️

I feel this so hard. My weight has roller coastered over the same 50 pounds lost and gained for years. Last week I cried in a dressing room trying on bras because even my “big girl bras” are too tight right now. Ready to make good decisions and never cry in a dressing room again. Good luck to all of us!

  • Holiday party at work yesterday. I focused on eating proteins and veggies (yay charcuterie table) and limiting carbs. Water mainly but had a half glass of prosecco. Enjoyed a couple bites of dessert (literally of the plates of my coworkers- with permission and clean forks! ?) Walked the mile to and from the venue instead of bus/ Uber like some of my coworkers. (Got 9k in steps for the day!) And got in some activity with some ping pong! (That's me in the grey/blue sweater) My chronic knee pain was manageable yesterday, but I'm feeling it today!

I usually struggle with staying consistent when my husband is gone becauee he is a great support and cheerleader for me. He was out of the country helping his mom. 12 days turned into 19 because of delay with her house sale, and 2 flight cancelations due to severe fog. I spent hours on with airline rebooking his and mother in laws flights (2x). I didn't stress eat which is a huge win for me. While he was gone, I lost 8 lbs. In the past, I would have gained 8 lbs.

DietBet Grace

That's amazing, Kim! It takes a lot of willpower to break a habit like stress eating, and you did it!!! I'm so proud of you! I hope everyone is home safe now :)

  • Yesterday, I was running about and didn't plan for lunch. I was starving and needed to grab something. I asked my son to order souvlaki (Greek meat skewers) to get protein (i was driving). He ordered the souvlaki pita instead.

I ate the meat, tomatoes and onions out of the pita and ripped off less than 1/4 of the pita to watch my carbs. Pretty proud that I didn't succumb to eating the whole pita! My son ate the 2 fries that were inside?

  • It’s freezing here in Wisconsin but i actually love taking winter walks because no one is around and it’s so peaceful. Gotta get my steps in.

  • I started this bet knowing it's not only holiday season, but also my birthday month. A few years ago, one of my kids told me I was "extra" while redeeming a few free birthday treats. I took that as a challenge and signed up for everything I could. We try to outdo the year before (last year I collected 110 freebies! )

Yesterday, my boy and I started collecting. I had some vanilla ice coffee (Cinnabon) while the boy enjoyed a single scoop of Ben & Jerry's. I ate garlic shrimp w steamed broccoli (red lobster) and brought the free dessert home to my girl. We walked the mall and I did 8k in steps, which is huge given my lack of movement due to arthritis in my knee.

My plan is to gift away other sweet freebies and use the process of obtaining them, motivation to move more.

Hi! I'm Grace. I keep ending up at this weight, like it's my body's set point. I'm struggling with arthritis in my knee so working out is so very hard. I'm focusing on my diet (I'm a sugar and carb addict) and water intake. đź’§

For many years I thought this one weight was my set point. I just couldn’t get past it. About 3 months ago I started fasting for the first time ever. It coincides with many other things in my life and it just fits my lifestyle, but I have not once “stood still”. Every single week so far I’ve lost weight. I’m now about 12lbs below my “set point”. It might not work for everyone though. I’m not exercising at the moment either as I’m in bad pain with my lower back. You will get there!!!!!

Hi Grace! I'm Grace too! :)

Arthritis can make things hard, I'm sorry you're dealing with that. Working out doesn't have to be extreme! Walking is a great place to start. Small changes really add up - it's all about consistency. You've got this!
