This game (month) has me feeling super defeated I weighed myself this morning and was 216.. still UP two lbs from weigh in.

Life has been so hectic and although I keep telling myself to get my S H I T together I keep failing to do so. Days continue to pass and I’m not taking my own advice. This post is nothing but me holding myself accountable.

Wishing YOU all the best as these last days of our game come and go.

I want as many of you all to win as possible.

Franny, did the built bars get mailed out? Just realized I didn't receive the coconut ones.

What’s your workout plan today?

My workout plan is walking. I do StepBets and my step goals for each week are 4 days at 10,252 steps and 2 days at 12,436 steps with one rest day. I walk 4-5 days a week over my lunch break on my treadmill (I have a fitness center at my job) to get a big chunk of those steps in. I try to walk at a minimum of a 4% incline. Many days, every 2 minutes I bump another 1% until I get to 10, and then back it back down 1% until I get back to 4%. Walking at an incline is no joke. It gets my heart pumping, sweat dripping and muscles burning. And it’s so much easier on my knees and hips.

KlammJam, Your numbers are exciting in wonderful I hope to reach that level one day.

I’m sooo close. So close. I’ve been slacking with working out. I think I need a change. Will be looking for Pilates reformer classes near me. How’s everyone doing in your journey??

Anyone bounce back from a full week of sickness in the house and not keeping diet? Is it possible to win with one week completely out the window?

Anna M., I hope you get well soon. I was not sick but gained 5 pounds after violating my "no takeout" rule. I thought I ordered high protein and low fat, but Boom! I hope we both succeed.

I’m in the same boat, no progress the first week. I have learned to absolutely not throw in the towel no matter what till that last weigh in, you never know when your body might decide to drop 3 lbs at once!! At least that’s what mine does sometimes

Ready to lose some weight: I did some lunch meal prepping last night and bought fruits at the store instead of sugary sweets. And I just planned out my calories for the day today. I just need to figure out my exercise plan for the week. I did a couple exercises this morning, but Franny’s right that I need an actual plan.

I celebrated my birthday with lots and lots of sweets since the last DietBet, and now I’m trying to get my act together before the weigh-in for this one. I sure hope I didn’t destroy too much of last month’s hard work.

The scale is such a frustrating thing. I was about 1 lb below goal for like 2 days, now I’m 1 lb above goal. I’m trying to be good these last couple days and hoping that the scale will swing back the other direction in time for weigh-in.

  • Soup of the day is Lentil Soup. This is seriously amazing. I’ve never made it before but wanted to start incorporating lentils into my diet. They are high in fiber, protein, iron and potassium. A very heart healthy legume. I give this recipe 5*.

The tweaks I made were 1 Tbsp olive oil vs 2. Subbed Rotel for the tomatoes, and I didn’t have an onion, so I used onion powder. I didn’t blend mine at all. The water did evaporate or absorb into the lentils quite a bit, so I did add 2 cups of water at the end.

    1 WW point for 2 cups, 340 calories, 21g protein, 11g fiber

Lisa, you could make the soup for you and get some of those silicone souper cubes and pre portion and freeze what you can’t eat. I love soup, my hubby tolerates it. He usually likes to add a sandwich to go along with his. I just eat a larger portion :joy::joy:. I figure out all the recipes in MyFitnessPal as a 2-cup portion. Hubby would rather do 1 cup and a sandwich.

I love lentils & it’s finally soup weather. After a long dry spell it rained yesterday & all night.

One pound ain’t bad at all. Restaurants have sooo much tasty food. You did well, and you still got this!

This post makes me sad and angry! :disappointed_relieved:
As someone who sold her home, moved 3 states away (and away from my sons), and put her entire life on hold to help care for my elderly mother, I would never feel like taking care of her is an inconvenience. I cherish every single second I have left with her.

I feel nauseated that you think this way. Some day your elderly parent won't be around anymore, then you won't have to worry about your weekend being ruined anymore.
