Putting another reminder here because my other game just finalized and there are people losing it over how much DietBet took…
First of all, the point of these isn’t to make money! The point it to shed the pounds and get into a better lifestyle than we previously were. The money is just an incentive.
Secondly, DietBet is very upfront with their fees and such. They take anywhere from 10-25% of the pot and the host also gets a %.
And lastly, the amount we get also depends on how many people won. I truly wish that EVERYONE who entered, reached their goal and won. Isn’t that what this is about? Cheering each other on to success and reaching out goals? I’d give my entire wager away if it meant everyone reached their goal.
So before this game finalizes remember the real reason you’re here. Take a deep breath and remember where you were a month ago and how you FELT compared to where you are today and how you feel today! I would encourage you to go ahead and do a progress weigh in. I weighed this morning and found that I have already lost enough water weight to put me below my DietBet goal. Thankfully, customer service was able to reset my initial weigh in for me to weigh again. I was scared to keep it where it was because if you lose 12%, you are disqualified. Happy New Year everyone. We got this!!
