Looked at the scale this morning and it's the first time in several years that I didn't see a 2 at the beginning. Puts me down 47 pounds overall and 35 since January from cutting out sodas and just portion control. Mixed with some walking golf rounds, of course. :)

  • I belong to a fraternal organization where, if you are appointed to statewide office, you buy an evening gown that is a kind of uniform. We got measured in September for a dress that was to arrive in April. When mine got here I had gained so much weight, I had to add material to the sides. I am supposed to be losing weight for knee surgery but instead I got bigger! So now I really want to take the side panels out and restore the dress to its proper size.

What great motivation! I also plan on taking in clothes as they get too big; and also getting into a few special items that I have hung onto that haven't fit in YEARS. This month won't get me that far...but I'll keep going!

I need to be consistent with the gym for sure ! Hard to motivate myself to workout from home if I miss a day if I join a gym class I have no choice but to tough it out !

I have been heading out the door for a walk before anything else distracts me! Listening to motivational podcasts while I walk. Tracking everything I eat, noticing unexpected sugar content in many foods that aren't "sweet".

Final weigh-in is fast approaching! And I have a question. Above, it says the weigh-in is July 15-16...does this mean from 12 am on the 15th, and when the clock ticks past midnight into the 16th the window is closed? Or is anytime the 15th or 16th ok?

Feeling great! It took me a little bit to get in the groove, but I'm definitely losing weight and on track! Every day, every meal, is a new opportunity to make choices that get you closer to your goal! And now .. Id better get out for my walk before time gets away from me! Cheering everyone on!
