I took a break the Mo th of August from diet bet and kept weight down.
So just joined 3 diet bets and only 4 pounds now from my initial goal.
Now thinking I can lose 15 more pounds.
Started at 225.4 this morning 154.0
My journey is a little different: lost my husband 3 years ago and I didn’t think I was depressed but pound by pound gained weight, not feeling well and body aching, stomach problems, and losing it when I ate beef.
I found out in December (9 months ago) I had been bitten by a Lone Star Tick and have AGS (Alpha Gal Syndrome). Which means for me I’m allergic to all mammals, dairy, xanthan gum, carrageen.
I’ve adjusted and make all my own food but going out to eat is a challenge so most of the time I eat before I go out.
I have not counted calories I’ve just been eating healthy. I always say I can have Feathers and Fins and fruits and vegetables.
I have to watch cross contamination also.
But I’m doing better just gets hard having to ask restaurants to accommodate me so easier sometimes just to not eat.

Enough about me. I wish everyone the willpower and hopefully we all will achieve this DietBet goal.

I am so sorry for your loss . It’s so so hard to lose someone close to you.
What an inspiring story ! Way to go for losing so much weight with all the challenges you have been through.
I have been allergic to peanuts for only few years so going out to eat has become a little scary for me . ( I forget about my allergy often and that scares me )

Hi Team! Starting this DietBet 30 pounds down from my crazy pandemic weight gain (15 of it since I started using DietBet again).

I work in an industry that relies heavily on networking dinners / events, so my biggest struggle is staying within the confines of a calorie goal, when constantly having to eat outside of the home. But I’m making it work and determined to keep this forward progress going.

I understand, eating out often makes losing weight harder ! Have more water , vegetables first . Dit. Be shy to ask to hold the butter , grilled vegetables , put the dressing on the side and so on .

  • Another app suggestion is a walking app called WE WARD.

    It has been great to keep me accountable with my steps and it gives you point that you can eventually cash out on Venmo (for free).

    It takes a while to actually be able to make enough steps to cash out (it took me about 3 weeks to make $5, which is the lowest you can cash out) but a free coffee a month, and staying accountable, is fine by me haha.

  • I’ve seen a couple people post about their food tracking apps, and also wanted to suggest MACROS FIRST.

    I wanted to take the next step in my calorie counting, personally focusing on higher protein intake, and this has been really helpful. Similar to the simplicity of My Fitness Pal and some of the others, but let’s you focus on macros (even without paying for a subscription).
