I'm in this DietBet to lose weight, but I'm also trying to get more fit. I basically put my body into retirement the last 3 years, and now I'm trying to gain back what I lost by not using it. I've been walking about 1.25 miles everyday since the new year, and I just upped it this week by half a mile, and I'm pushing myself to do it all at once. Pushing hard to be able to do two miles with minimal whining by this time next month!

Figure out what works for you. I grew up hearing “don’t weigh yourself daily” but I THRIVE on the knowledgr of a daily check in and nothing derails me faster than the not knowing. Figure out what works for you and stick to it.

Calorie deficit tracker! I have tried to lose weight for years thinking I was eating right only to quit when I wasn't seeing results. I finally locked in and actually track what I eat and focus on high protein and fiber and have actually now lost 30 lbs since last August! I also let myself enjoy the holidays but tried to not over indulge and was able to maintain during that time and then got right back on track after new years. It works! I use the lose it app for tracking.
