  • I made it. I'm so proud of myself. I had to weigh in a few days early due to a vacation. I was so worried but I did it. I now am enjoying my first ever trip to Hawaii without having to worry about that scale. Congratulations to those who made it and to those who didn't, keep going and remember the scale is just a number a small fraction if the journey.

  • Labwork today but still made sure to get a workout with my swolemate! Having a good support system while you change your life is so important. Being able to be around longer to live a life with my husband as the best version of myself has always been one of my 'whys' for fighting for my health. Who or what keeps your motivated?

That's awesome! My motivation is my health and mobility and of course being my best version for my husband, kids and grandbabies. I was recently diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and arthritis in my lower back. I'm determined to keep mobility.

My motivation is being healthy and fit as I get older, I'll be 60 next yr. I want to be active for myself 1st and for my grandkids and hubby. :wink:

    When I think about meal prepping/planning for the week, I end up just feeling extremely overwhelmed because I don't even know where to start 😩

Great ideas here already. I also like the concept of making various types of healthy bowls or salads. You can mix up the toppings. So you can have different sorts of veggies, ready to eat proteins, olives, or pickled onions, and some sort of dressing or sauce. Buddha bowls!

My husband and I make a big batch of chicken breast in the crock pot once a week. He has also been sampling different meatball recipes and makes a big batch of meatballs. He separates the meatballs into little baggies of 3 meatballs. We also like to have a big batch of taco meat in the freezer. So we can just take it out and throw it in a pan for dinner. We use the chicken breast and meatballs for quick protein for lunches and snacks and will make a dinner out of them.

We also do either hard-boiled eggs to have on hand or a batch of eggbites for the week.


Ive been eating low carb, no sugar so this makes it easy to quickly grab something and add some fruit anf veggies to it.

Those mushrooms do look good. I also put my yoga mat on top of a rug — so much more comfortable that way. Yours is absolutely beautiful!

That looks delicious! I love tofu and I love tacos, but it never occurred to me to make a tofu taco. Need to try that!

Hi all. I have been quiet because I joined this bet and then went out of town. Lol I just got back from a week in Vegas playing poker. Lots of sitting and eating on the go. I did pack my protein shakes for breakfast and lots of protein packed snacks. I managed to eat healthy for the most part and still lost close to 3 lbs this week. I'm proud of myself as normally I would come back 5 lbs up from water retention alone. I was intentional about my eating and hydration. I limited my caffeine intake and made sure to move my body during breaks. I have another trip planned in 3 weeks so hoping I can keep this momentum going. I'm exhausted but pleased with the scale this morning. Here's to another successful week.
