How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

Sticking to my meal plan yesterday was ROUGH, man. Especially when my husband had me make him red beans and rice with bacon, of all things. (I don’t even normally care for bacon, but I wanted to lick the pan!) I wonder if my fat intake is too low, or if it’s just the general caloric restriction? Maybe both? We’ll see on the next meal plan ig; it’s a little higher in fat.

I usually do cycles of 4 days on the plan with prepped food (because that’s about how long the food stays fresh in the fridge) followed by 1 “free” day, where I can eat whatever I want as long as I pay attention to my hunger and fullness cues and don’t stuff myself. It works out to follow the 80/20 rule.

Days 3 and 4 are always the toughest… but I just gotta “say no” for one more day! Lord help me stay strong; I know it’s worth it!

Your commitment is inspiring, but I want to gently point out that this approach isn’t exactly aligned with 2B Mindset principles. 2B isn’t about caloric restriction or cycles of “on-plan” and “free” days—it’s more about creating sustainable habits and enjoying your meals without feeling deprived. It emphasizes eating to satisfaction, not limitation, and focusing on mindset rather than rigid rules.

If you’re feeling tempted or deprived, it could be a sign that your meals need to be more satisfying, which often means incorporating more volume, protein, or even some healthy fats. That way, you don’t feel the need to “power through” tough days. 2B is non-restrictive, so it’s worth tweaking your meal plan to work with your body, not against it. You’ve got this!

@Breana G While 2B sounds like it will work great without having to keep track of calories for those with more weight to lose, I could definitely manage to overeat even following 2B. (I can really put away some food!) I am already fairly lean, and I don’t think my body is going to be willing to let go of more fat without intentional caloric restriction. That may feel a little uncomfortable at times for me— but that’s okay! I will feel less hungry as I get used to eating less food again; then I can go back to eating intuitively and not having to worry about managing my weight.
