  • Yesterday I was up earlier than my normal day, and out the door with gear in hand... off to compete at a regional qualifier for taekwondo nationals (nationals are in Utah in July). Competed in forms (gold), Olympic sparring (silver) and point sparring (gold). Not a lot of people in my age (40) and rank (advanced but not to black belt yet)... but I have put in the time training and got out there and sparred with black belts for the day! It was nice to work with some others my age even though higher rank... I learned a few things I need to work on to be ready for nationals... and I had fun and bonus made a few new friends ?
