  • Who else does great during the week, then Friday evening through Sunday has a harder time staying on track? We have a get together tonight & a group campout tomorrow. I’m telling myself to plan my meals, limit alcohol and get exercise in. I know I can do it- Stay the course. I don’t want to let the weekend ruin the awesome week I’ve worked hard for. I’m going to give this recipe a try.

    We all have that number in mind the goal we need to hit for this game. That number matters, but what matters even more is the mindset we build getting there.

    Nutrition is the biggest player in this. You can’t out-train poor food choices, and every meal is either moving you closer or pulling you further away. But it’s not just physical it’s mental too. Saying “no” to old habits, choosing foods that fuel instead of just comfort, and proving to yourself that you can do this.

    Some days the hardest workout is in your head fighting cravings, staying disciplined, and reminding yourself that short-term sacrifice equals long-term win. That’s where the real strength is built.

    We’re not only working toward a number on the scale. We’re also building mental toughness, resilience, and the belief that we’re capable of more than we give ourselves credit for. Each bite, each choice, each day all of it counts.

    Every morning I’ve been doing coffee with a Greek yogurt with a serving of honey bunches of oats! Perfect little meal before a workout.

    I hope everyone is doing well and keeping focused.

  • This is huge for me- I struggle with eating 30/40/30 & I almost got it today- I weighed food- counted everything. Just 1% up in fats & missing in protein. I know from past experience that when I focus on protein and fiber mostly that it seems to work out well- I feel satisfied and full longer, have less cravings and more energy.

I find it difficult to hit the 30% protein too, even 25%! And I’m not a vegetarian. Good job!!! If you’re close to the % and within your calorie goal, I call that a win.
