This is my first time trying a transformer. Excited to see how well I can do on it. I have always had issues sticking with my journey long term and am hoping that this helps. How is everyone else doing? Anyone like to share what has helped with their journey?

Welcome! Transformers are great, you can really sink your teeth into these longer bets :) plus I find the monthly goals more manageable/less daunting. I hope you have a good experience!

I really like the transformers. Having a weighin with a goal on the calendar each month really helps!

I’ve been lax about my diet and exercise since my last one ended. And honestly wasn’t really being strict for the last couple of months of that one since I had lost so much early on.

What has worked for me in the past is monitoring calories in and calories out to meet a 1000 calorie deficit each day. I wear a Fitbit and use that app. Getting back to tracking again this week. Just knowing I need to enter it makes me think twice before biting in!

I often like a big salad with homemade cashew dressing (you can thin it down as much as you want, or even use canned white beans instead of cashews. Blend with some water, onion & garlic powder, mustard, vinegar or lemon juice). Low-fat protein add-ins: cottage cheese, beans, hummus, dinner leftovers, whatever's on hand. I sometimes add fruit, like chopped apples. If I need more calories, some toasted whole grain bread or pita, with hummus. I found some whole wheat pita bread at Trader Joe's the other day (their own brand) with pretty natural ingredients. Yay. Or I'll just make a sandwich with the salad ingredients.

My favorite fast meal is an Italian turkey sandwich on a keto burger bun. I use deli turkey, and I toss some shredded lettuce in light Italian dressing. I use a laughing cow wedge as a spread on the bun, add some Italian seasonings, and top it all with banana peppers. It tastes delicious and is satisfying but clocks in at pretty low calories!

Check FlashFood if your local stores use it. It’s an online platform for stores to post reduced items. Check early though, meats especially tend to move quickly!

  • Made some air fried stuffed mushrooms and they came out delicious.

    After being sick last week I went in to get a saline IV and unfortunately it flushed my system. Read somewhere that mushrooms and greek yogurt have electrolytes in them, so decided to use food as medecine to help me feel better. I am really trying to change the way I see food. I no longer want to see it as just a way to stay busy or comfort me. I am trying to view it as fuel and medecine and it has really helped with my weight loss.

    *Ended up not being able to finish all the ones I fixed.
