I just joined this diet bet because of the start date... are you all using a step betting app too? Is it fun? Does it work with a galaxy watch?

Charles, yes! Check out the StepBet app, it's the perfect complement to DietBet! :) Many of us are playing StepBet games, too!

Excellent query! I have been using dietbet for accountability. It’s fun to be in a race, and honestly when I don’t win, and only lose 3%, because of being in the dietbet I am no longer hard on myself for not losing weight fast enough.

Kacky

Stats don't usually influence me because so much has happened to my family that so-called experts said was "statistically unlikely".

I think the success rate is higher. I've never doubled my money in a kicstarter. The most I've ever won back is my bet + 20%. Sometimes, I've only won back what I put in.

In my opinion, 4 out of 10 people being successful in one game is a phenomenal success rate when it comes to something as hard as weight loss.

If much more than 40% were successful each round, the business viability would drop fast, and we can't have that. This is too much fun.

What really gets me interested is seeing how many people do rounds consistently over years while maintaining or slowly creeping up. I have a super part-time gig as a personal trainer, and I know for a fact that people keep buying sessions regardless of progress just for the accountability and keeping in the game. It seems like that is represented here in a major way. Cool stuff. :sunglasses:

  • I'm excited to be doing another diet bet round. Lots of over indulgence on delicious foods this summer, but the yearly physical is coming up, so it's time to switch gears. The good ol make half your plate veggies method always does a good job of bringing my blood sugar and triglycerides back into range. 😁😁😁

Nothing like a yearly physical to give you a reality check lol - this looks delicious!

Whoops. Signed up for this bet right before leaving for a weekend trip... I thought I'd be able to take my weigh-in photos on the 18th instead of tomorrow. Will I be disqualified if I submit my weight photos on monday?

You can send the initial weight up to 14 days in, so a couple of days won't matter. Have a great weekend!

Thanks!
