I've been dealing with a lot lately. A short fuse, easily annoyed, toxic work environment, husband had a life-shortening diagnosis 3 days ago. All I wanted was chocolate to cope tonight.
But I didn't.
(I didn't really cope, so I'm sure this will come back to bite me)

I get it, so sorry for all you're dealing with. I don't know if this helps, but what I've been saying to myself this past week as a grief a family death from last Thursday is that eating sugar is really a sorry comforter. I will still feel sad an hour after I eat it and I'll actually feel worse because I'll also feel guilty for eating something that wasn't healthy for me. Emotional eating is hard, be gentle with yourself, but keep fighting. Especially if your husband's health is likely to decline you should take care of your own so you can be there for him. Praying for some hope today to give you energy for good. You can change even in unbelievably tough circumstances. I got in great shape while spending the better part of two years in the hospital with a critically-ill child.

Sorry to hear that Lauren, it's a lot to deal with and I love that you're recognizing and acknowledging your feelings. They are valid. Susan shared wise words. Our journey includes learning how to navigate the ups and downs while putting our health first. It's definitely not easy, but we need to strive toward that, find balance and know that it's always worth it. Giving in never gives us the pleasure we're hoping it will (but a little something can be just what you need from time to time and that's ok). Big hugs!

Sorry for late reply, yes finalizing is waiting for everyone to submit they weigh-in. U get 3 emails
1, to say they have received it
2, to say if it was verified or something was wrong and u need to submit it again
3, to say the round is over and has been finalized.
That’s when on your app it changes from finalising to either winner or runner up

  • Struggled a bit the last week or so because it was my birthday/valentines so I had quite a few events/outings with my friends/daughter, lotsa cheat meals. As someone with Celiac, there are certain meals I miss and can't easily find unless I make them myself, so being able to enjoy eggs benedict was one of my birthday treats!

    Eating out and meal prep was the hard part but luckily I stayed consistent with workouts and will try to do it this week as well with better meal prep. Let's get it!
