How do you verify the weight loss?

For all official weigh-ins, you'll be prompted to submit your official starting weight. Our standard weigh-in process involves you submitting 2 photos: one of you standing on a scale in lightweight clothing (no shoes, hats, belts, watches, coats, or outerwear), and another of the scale’s readout with your weigh-in word written on a piece of paper.

What you'll need

  • A scale (preferably digital)
  • A digital camera or smartphone
  • A full-length mirror or someone to take your photo

  • Non scale victory! I am officially “overweight” and am no longer classified as “Class 1 Obesity.” I started a year ago as “class 2 obesity”.

Karla, this is such an important milestone. I know we are still mid-bet and you have more to do on your health journey, but I hope you are allowing yourself time enough to pause and reflect on your achievement to date. I think you can feel REALLY proud. I know I did when I moved from being “obese” to “overweight” a little over a year ago. It felt very significant to me, in part because of the stigma associated with the word “obese” & the judgment others often put on sufferers & that I had also placed on myself, & also because I knew I’d decreased a lot of risk factors that accompany an obese BMI. Tbh I think I may have even cried a few silent tears of relief & joy!

Would I be right in guessing that your ultimate goal weight falls in the healthy range? Mine does and if I make all Rounds of this bet, I’ll only have 7 pounds to go; compared to the 84 pounds I had to lose when I first set out to reclaim my health back in late 2021… it’s been a long journey back but 100% worthwhile and I’m stronger and know myself so much better now-believe in myself more too-both physically & mentally.

I read a research article a few years back that stated only 1% of people with an obese BMI ever get back to a healthy BMI; well, I’m determined to be the exception rather than the norm & get there! Based off of what you’ve shared of yourself, I’m confident that you will too ?:muscle:
