Anyone have plans for 4th of July? I like to "run" a 5k in the mornings. There's a little town in mid-Oregon that hosts a parade, and the 5k starts right before the parade starts and follows the same route, so you're flanked by parade onlookers who love to cheer you on. I push my toddler in the jogging stroller, and I want to make 5k's a "mommy and me" tradition. FYI, I'm not a runner, but I can power walk and hobble a 5k in under an hour, most of the time.

That sounds really fun and like a great tradition plan! It probably won’t be too long before your little one power walks along with you :-)

Kids line up to wave and cheer us on and get high-fives. I've been doing this for the last 11 years, even the year I was 34 weeks pregnant. That was a rough year...I want 5k's to be a "mommy and me" core childhood memory with my daughter. FYI, I'm not a runner, but 5k are easy enough to power walk and hobble through in under an hour. Of all the 5k's I do throughout the year, the 4th of July is my favorite.

I've always wanted to do a 5k as a family!

Don't you love that special time of the month, when you become insanely hungry and gain 4-6 pounds of pure water and rage? Then the very next week, you shed it all? What's even the point of keeping that much water and rage?

  • How's the first half of this week going for everyone? Did you stay on track over the weekend?

Any non scale victories? I did! My waist measurement is down 3" since last time I checked! Even though the scale was up 6 lbs this morning lol. Just water weight I'm sure, so nbd. But happy to see my waist smaller than it was before having kids- woohoo!

Carly

Non-scale victory was last Sunday, I was able to put on my only pair of business casual khakis for a music gig, and they fit. They weren't ready to rip like they were three months ago.

I wrapped up deadlifts at lunch hour. Recently, I lost a little over 20 pounds in a recent competition. I may have inadvertently traded weighing 20lbs less for being able to lift 20lbs less. I don't know how I feel about that. :(

I'm surprised there are games that cost less than $20 to play. Is this a new feature?

They were doing it a few years back when I first joined, I use them as add-ons sometimes but I messed up this time cos my other game weighed in on Monday!

Artchick

They’ve always allowed games of any dollar amount, though they’re usually run by other players-like me!
Surprised about PayPal. I’d contact support, because I’m pretty sure it should work.
