  • What a day!

    Long and stressful day getting our house ready to sell. Exciting, but it's chaotic and busy!

    Still got my workout in and a short walk with the kids. Now I'm gonna enjoy a low calorie, low carb mocktail to relax and unwind!

    How are you taking care of yourself today? Don't forget that self-care is part of your total body health and fitness! Even little things like a healthy mocktail at the end of the day counts! <3

I need to try more mocktails. The other weekend I had a couple Poppi and Olipops with some mixers like basil lemonade and. Margarita one. Probably not low sugar or calories but tasty. Glad you got to have this after a busy day!

Anyone have plans for 4th of July? I like to "run" a 5k with my daughter in the jogging stroller. I go to a little town in Oregon where they have a parade, and the 5k starts right before the parade starts, and the 5k route follows the parade route. Kids line up to wave and cheer us on and get high-fives. I've been doing this for the last 11 years, even the year I was 34 weeks pregnant. That was a rough year...I want 5k's to be a "mommy and me" core childhood memory with my daughter. FYI, I'm not a runner, but 5k are easy enough to power walk and hobble through in under an hour. Of all the 5k's I do throughout the year, the 4th of July is my favorite.

  • How's the first half of this week going for everyone? Did you stay on track over the weekend?

    Any non scale victories? I did! My waist measurement is down 3" since last time I checked! Even though the scale was up 6 lbs this morning lol. Just water weight I'm sure, so nbd. But happy to see my waist smaller than it was before having kids- woohoo!

Non-scale victory was last Sunday, I was able to put on my only pair of business casual khakis for a music gig, and they fit. They weren't ready to rip like they were three months ago.

That looks delicious! And nice on the non scale victories! I had a busy weekend with baby shower and graduation party. I didn’t over do it on crappy food but definitely ate stuff I didn’t need. Dill pickle pasta salad … ?

  • A whole pizza just for me! Calorie and macro friendly!

    2 cups of liquid egg whites
    1/2 cup of coconut flour
    1 tsp of baking powder
    Italian seasoning

    Mix well and spread the batter onto a pan covered with parchment paper.

    I baked it at 425° for 10 minutes before taking it out to add my toppings and baking again for another 10 minutes.

    Yummmm!

  • I do so solemnly swear.

    How do you plan to stay on track over our first weekend in the DietBet?

    I like to plan put my meals in advance on the MyFitnessPal app to make sure I am staying in my calorie range. For example, tomorrow, we're making pizza, and I'm going to make an egg white and coconut flour crust for mine to hit my calorie and macro goals! So I can still enjoy while staying on track with my goals!

I try to find out what we're eating ahead of time for the day. Like supper. Supper is usually the highest for calories for me. And then I kind of plan around that meal.

Did a workout on bodi and Mitch and I went for a quick kayak session before it started raining too much

I did a quick and dirty exercise of neutral row and lat pulldowns. I feel like I'm just putting in the motions these days while I really focus on diet. I've also started getting in 10k steps. It's almost impossible when you have a desk job. I usually have to make up the last 4-6k on the treadmill after I put my kid to bed.
