Weight is so crazy. I've finished a January game and was at a party yesterday with some drinking and some cake and now I'm up 1 kg (about 2 pounds). 😱
Luckily it's just 3% for this transformer and I still made it.

Glad I’m not the only one to get off track since winning the kickstarter. Luckily, I lost so much that there is no way I won’t win the transformer round but still, it has set me back a bit.

Despite some setbacks, I’m 1.5lbs away from my goal. Sooo close. I’m hoping a lot of it is water weight. I have been horrible about staying hydrated so I’m going to try and flush that out over the next few days.

I’m the same - just over a pound away from goal!! I KNOW I haven’t been so good with water drinking. Going to power drink tomorrow!!!

Stay hydrated! The opposite happens where if your body feels thirsty, it will retain MORE water.

If you’re a pound away, doing cardio the day of weigh in can shed a little if you’re uneasy. I understand that weight fluctuations can be nerve wrecking

  • Hope everyone is coming in strong today! If you reached your number, you feel so proud that you figured it out and stuck with it. Take a moment to celebrate. You changed your life.

    If you didn’t, you still showed intent to take care of your body by joining this challenge (don’t take it for granted! Some people don’t care). You also still probably learned a lot, right? I’ve lost over 100lbs over 3 years, but I can tell you it was 12 years of failures prior to that. I even regained 44lbs at some point during, which was devastating. Every time, I learned about where I tended to fall off the wagon (ordering out was the weakness, too drastic of lifestyle change) and what made me feel stronger (being enrolled in a workout class, whole foods only). The combination of these lessons helped me figure out what I needed to finally stay consistent. That’s the main thing. Be proud of the progress you did make and keep. Trying. You can get there - I’m an example of that despite many nights of self doubt.

    I’m proud of everyone in this challenge. Go into the new year with your head held high.

Six months ago, I weighed 229 lbs.
Today, I’m 206 lbs.
That number matters — but not for the reason people usually think.
What’s been truly rewarding isn’t just the weight loss. It’s what it represents.
It’s the quiet, daily decisions that no one saw.
The moments I showed up for myself when it would have been easier not to.
The patience it took to keep going even when progress felt slow or invisible.
This journey has taught me trust — in my body, and in myself.
That change doesn’t need to be dramatic to be meaningful.
That consistency, not perfection, is what actually moves the needle.
I feel stronger. Calmer. More connected to myself.
I move through the world with a little more ease, a little more confidence, and a lot more gratitude.
Losing 23 lbs over six months hasn’t just changed my body — it’s changed how I speak to myself, how I care for myself, and how proud I allow myself to feel.
And honestly? That’s the most rewarding part of all.

That’s amazing. What a beautiful accomplishment. I agree - the number is nice but the true reward lies with the mental battles won. Being able to be consistent is the hardest part of it all in my opinion. Incredible work!

  • I started focusing on strength training and stepped away from the scale since I was initially gaining a lot of water weight from it.
    I’m still REALLY wanting to meet my goals for this DietBet even though I feel far away.
    I’m recommitting to weighing and tracking my calories tomorrow

Hey! Don’t worry about the past. You only have control over today. After losing over 100 lbs to date, I’ll tell you that consistency is the most important for success + not putting it off to ‘tomorrow’ or ‘Monday’ or ‘the new year’. Start right now. Go on a walk, have a protein shake, if you’re at a restaurant dinner order something not carby or calorie dense.

Your body will thank you for anything that you can do so never feel ‘far away’. Any progress is good and welcomed. Any progress is a step ahead from where you were yesterday. It’s all always worth it, no matter how ‘small’.

Also, if it’s water weight, don’t worry about it! Do watch out for anything making you retain water, though (elevated salt intake, inflammation from processed foods). The scale can lie to us - I’ve been able to keep my sanity by making sure my fat % and waist circumference goes down. Water weight is temporary and doesn’t matter in the long run. I’ve accepted that my weight will fluctuate +/- 3 lbs on a daily basis. If I eat processed foods, I’ve seen it fluctuate +5 to 10 lbs over a week (I’m really not exaggerating on this one - I’ve measured it a few times). So keep doing what you need to do and the number will eventually work its way out. Trust the process. If you completed your steps for the day (activity, sleep, min water, protein intake, low carbs, calorie limits), then you’ve won even if the scale doesn’t agree.

Let’s go all! I know a few of us didn’t reach our month 2 goals but there are 4 more months. Please keep going! You can definitely finish strong for month 6. Keep the faith and forget the last 2 months if they weren’t the best. At the end of the day, anything is progress and your health will thank you for it ❤

Me too! Well i didn't sprain my ankle but i got achilles tendinitis.... we can still do this! Rest up, heal up and jump right back in.... figuratively of course :)

I’m feeling not too bad but not too great either! Similar to what Crystal said, the scale isn’t reflecting how focused and consistent I’ve been but I’m going to continue to push on and stay focused. :muscle: It’s tricky to not let it get to me mentally but if I do that’s when it’ll all fall apart so gotta stay strong :heart:
