I’m not going to make this round but I did make all the other rounds. I joined a new transformer and I plan to put the scale away and focus on staying on my balanced healthy food plan. That’s how I’m not going to boomerang. Not really sad though as I’ve come along way in this journey and I’m happy with what I’ve learned. One big NSV is I’ve finally realized I don’t have to rush or bully myself anymore. Just eat a balanced healthy food plan, exercise and rest. I think being able to manage stress and finding ways to decrease stress is equally as important as diet exercise and sleep. Mindset is huge too.

You did great Chance! Think of it as being on track 83% of the time. Remember life is about NSVs. A long time ago I only focused on the scale and I was 20 pounds lighter than I am now. For reference, I am 6'3' and I got down to the 150s. Why did I do this? It's because this is what I weighed in high school. Someone I loved talked to me personally about it and said I wasn't looking well. For those who think this was an overstep on their part, it wasn't.

I realized I had less energy. I realized I had brain fog. I realized I wasn't that strong. I could hear the concern in their voice. I was only focusing on the scale and not my body.

Remember, the scale is just a number. Weighing less doesn't mean you're healthy. Keep eating healthy and focus on small changes that bring you to your goals.

Wishing you the best in your journey!

Chance

Yeah Brian, I totally resonate with that. I need to have energy, health and vitality. Definitely done with the bullying my body to lose weight. Not done with my health and wellness journey but definitely done with over restricting and falling off my program cycle. Yuck! How did that happen? Mindset is so tricky!

For those who win, how are you celebrating? For those who don’t win, how are you preventing yourself from boomeranging out of frustration/sadness/disappointment/whatever you’re feeling?

Honestly I celebrated by drinking with friends and eating fast food :joy::joy::joy: BUT I'm also so ecstatic and have been planning my goals for next month!!

Christy B

I bought an Oura ring! I want to work on my sleep while also continuing to work on my eating & exercise habits. I’m on the fence about another transformer, but am leaning a little more into the idea after reading others intentions… I certainly benefit from the accountability. I’d love a chat group within the game, I enjoy reading everyone’s updates but haven’t formed many connections due to the size of the player group. Congrats to all of the winners, we’ve all made changes big and small & that should be celebrated :muscle::sunglasses:

First time posting here. At the end of February, I fell while spending time outdoors and fractured my lower back, which forced me to stop all physical activity. Because of the intense pain and medication, my old unhealthy eating habits returned—I ate whatever was around, which only made me feel worse mentally. Fortunately, my back is finally healing, and I feel confident enough to go for walks again. I’ve also managed to stop snacking and overeating. Now I’m heading into a new month with more energy and more positive mindset!

Get ready for the final weigh-in for Round 2! Once the round ends on Feb 28 at midnight PST, you have until 11:59PM PST on Mar 2 to submit your final weight for the round. Remember that weighing in and winning each round guarantees your maximum payout at the end of the game. Even if you're not a winner, please submit your weight and photos.

Once the weigh-in period begins, you will get a new weigh-in word when you visit the game. Submit early to make sure your photos are accepted, and look for an email that confirms your photos are approved! (If you don't get one, check your spam folder.) You must have an approved weigh-in in order to be declared a winner for this round.

The round will finalize 24-36 hours after all weigh-ins have been submitted. Good luck!

Hi! I only see an option to submit an unofficial weigh in. Is that enough?

Jennifer M.

Oh I may have misunderstood. We can start weighing in March 1-2. So just wait until tomorrow!

  • We're getting close now!!

We've even had our Round 1 winners announced! Jake P and RollerCoasterDreams each won a Ninja Blender! 🎉 Congratulations!

You can check all the prizes for this game in our 2025 Make The New Year Magic Transformer FAQs. You can also check there for any questions you have, including questions about our upcoming weigh-in.

To answer a couple questions I've seen lately... Our weigh-in for this round will be February 1 and 2. The weigh-in period begins at midnight pacific time. You can weigh-in anytime during those two days.
👍 If you've met your goal, weigh-in early to allow plenty of time for approval or to fix your submission if necessary.
👍 If you're thisclose to meeting your goal, feel free to wait until the 2nd.
👍 Any official weigh-in you complete in another game, or as a member, that has been approved can be re-used for this game within 48 hours. Start the weigh-in process and select the option to re-use an approved weigh-in, just make sure to keep an eye on the time!

That should help! Please also check out those FAQs because all the information is there!

Now, let's congratulate our first prize winners 🎉 and drop a word that describes how you're feeling at this point in our game!

  • We're locked in now! This is our crew, and all initial weigh-in should have been submitted. (or at least submitted today!)

Now is a good time for a reminder to take all the before photos and measurements!

One of the biggest things I've heard from people who have succeeded in their health and fitness goals is that they wish they had more before pictures. It may be hard to take the photos and measurements now, but you'll wish you did!

Also, we all know the scale can be frustrating. Even when that needle isn't moving, you may be able to see big changes in your measurements and photos. Those will keep you going until the scale catches up!

Some of you have been in previous Transformers and completely crushed it! You might remember how inspiring it is seeing all the before-and-after photos and hearing about all the incredible health wins.

📷 For those of you who have been in a Transformer before or have experience in this area, please share a before-and-after photo or some things you're proud to have accomplished!

✨ For all of you, share whether you've taken photos or measurements and how you plan to track your progress!

  • I hit my half marathon training pace today of 4.7 mph on the treadmill! This has taken me like 4 months of running again to recover.

For me, half marathon training took a toll on my mental. After my race, I felt accomplished but very drained mentally (15 miles plus weekly is a lot). I got out of shape the following 4 months and struggled to even run a mile again. Proud to have worked my way up to the pace at least :)

Hi everyone ☺
I run on average 5 days a week. I wanted to know how other runners are balancing the calorie restrictions to lose weight with the calories being burned during exercise. I have an office job so my baseline to calculate BMR is sedentary activity. Thanks for any insight!

Biking Syl , Lisa R. and like this comment.

I’m 100% in the same position as you. Runner + office worker + trying to lose weight.

My biggest thing is I focus on my macro and BMR for sedentary activity calorie goal.

The macros (like 90 g of protein daily and 20g of fiber) help me have energy to run and not lose muscle. They also help me with getting enough vitamins in to avoid injuries.

For the calorie goal, I DONT factor in the exercise. I eat like I haven’t exercised that day and let the extra calories I’ve burned count as a bonus towards my weightloss goal. It also gives me a safety net on days that I eat a little more #balance so that I know that if I broke even on Monday because I had that Starbucks, I lost a little extra on Sunday due to my run so I’m still losing weight net. I’d let a nutritionist weigh in of course, but this has worked for me after years of trial and error!

Ranya E.

Thanks Jennifer! I'm also trying to hit protein AND calorie goal together and strength training so hopefully we lose mostly fat.

  • I’ve recently started a job working from home and my daily steps have dropped from an average 14,000 steps to about 5,000 steps and I haven’t adjusted my eating. I’m now back to my heaviest.

So I have now booked a half marathon for June and plan to eat healthier and exercise more! Today I ran 5 miles for the first time in 6 months!
