Get ready for the final weigh-in for Round 2! Once the round ends on Feb 28 at midnight PST, you have until 11:59PM PST on Mar 2 to submit your final weight for the round. Remember that weighing in and winning each round guarantees your maximum payout at the end of the game. Even if you're not a winner, please submit your weight and photos.

Once the weigh-in period begins, you will get a new weigh-in word when you visit the game. Submit early to make sure your photos are accepted, and look for an email that confirms your photos are approved! (If you don't get one, check your spam folder.) You must have an approved weigh-in in order to be declared a winner for this round.

The round will finalize 24-36 hours after all weigh-ins have been submitted. Good luck!

Hi! I only see an option to submit an unofficial weigh in. Is that enough?

Jennifer M.

Oh I may have misunderstood. We can start weighing in March 1-2. So just wait until tomorrow!

  • We did it! The game has ended and it's time for the final weigh-in!

Make sure to submit your FINAL weigh-in (not just a Progress weigh-in) during January 29-30 in Pacific Time.

Can’t wait to celebrate your wins!

And remember, if you didn’t quite make it, that’s okay! What did you learn? How can you use that knowledge as you move forward?

Win or lose, I definitely recommend continuing to build your healthy habits by joining a new game today! There are always new games starting, and if you’re at your final goal, you can join a Maintainer game through DietBet membership!

We've had so much fun, I'd love to see you in my next game. It starts on February 2. Here's the link!

Hello! Accidentally submitted my final weigh in as my progress weigh in today. Hope you can assist!

Referee Nancy

Anne, you should be able to use the progress weight. Just start the weigh in process and the option should appear.

  • We're getting close now!!

We've even had our Round 1 winners announced! Jake P and RollerCoasterDreams each won a Ninja Blender! 🎉 Congratulations!

You can check all the prizes for this game in our 2025 Make The New Year Magic Transformer FAQs. You can also check there for any questions you have, including questions about our upcoming weigh-in.

To answer a couple questions I've seen lately... Our weigh-in for this round will be February 1 and 2. The weigh-in period begins at midnight pacific time. You can weigh-in anytime during those two days.
👍 If you've met your goal, weigh-in early to allow plenty of time for approval or to fix your submission if necessary.
👍 If you're thisclose to meeting your goal, feel free to wait until the 2nd.
👍 Any official weigh-in you complete in another game, or as a member, that has been approved can be re-used for this game within 48 hours. Start the weigh-in process and select the option to re-use an approved weigh-in, just make sure to keep an eye on the time!

That should help! Please also check out those FAQs because all the information is there!

Now, let's congratulate our first prize winners 🎉 and drop a word that describes how you're feeling at this point in our game!

Noooo! The water retention from my marathon made me gain back all my weight loss! What do I do? Can I even make my goal at this point? Should I fast the next two days?

I started this challenge with a BMI classified as obese, and now I’m just overweight lol

Yema

Hit a plateu last week, but went on a liquid diet yesterday & ran a mile... it brought me down to my goal  this is my first diet bet in 2-4 years, so I'm proud of the discipline I've been able to hold down this month. Good luck everyone!

Finally getting around to posting! I’ve played several diet bet games over the years, with great success (except one 😔). Started this quest after severely injuring my knee back in September. Needless to say I gained 30 lbs from feeling sorry for myself and eating crap. The knee is better (still not great) so here I am, looking for motivation to lose that extra weight, which will take some pressure off my knees!

Losing the weight is important, but it’s so much bigger than that. 3 years ago, I injured my back. I couldn’t even walk to the grocery store 3 blocks away without needing to stop at least 4 times to rest. I would literally cry in pain when just standing up each morning. Such a humiliating time of my life.

Healing started with better foods and light movements. Just eating better (salmon, anti inflammatory food like tumeric and avoiding sugars) helped me walk again. Just that. Then, I hired a physical therapist to help strengthen my back and other muscles that would help it like my hips and core.

Eventually, that led to some weight loss, which gave me better mobility and less pain when waking up or standing up after a while. I went from not walking 3 blocks to running a half marathon last year.

I would never go back, DG. The difference is night and day. I’ve lost 70lbs since that time and counting. My thoughts to you is that losing weight is hard. But eating a little better isn’t. And moving 1-2 times a week for 15 minutes isn’t. So focus on that instead of the weightloss. You’ll feel better and eventually, WANT to do more. And soon, you’ll see the scale reflect your lifestyle changes.

- Be kind to yourself (on ‘bad days’ ask yourself, how can I finish the day positively?)
- Set gradual goals (don’t do too much. This week, just drink more water. Next week, start a gym routine. Next week, drink a protein shakes in the morning. It all adds up)
- Start with simply not gaining weight (that’s what I did. I told myself, for 2 months, I just don’t want the scale to go up. That’s it. If I can manage that, I won. Then I’ll focus on losing)
- Be ok with deloading (most of us can’t do this for months or years. That’s ok. My trainer says he keeps it up for 3 weeks at a time and then the 4th week, takes it easier. Then resets the following month. This makes the anxiety go down and more enjoyable)

Love this! We’re all cheering you on

How do you guys cope with the scale not reflecting all of your hard work? I committed myself to 6 weeks of consistency but it’s becoming hard to stay motivated and I’m starting to think I’ll lose this dietbet. 14 days in: total 1lb gain 😭

I’m not going to lie, my starting weight (265) was super inflated from the holidays and binge eating after my kids go to bed so I thought this would melt off with the changes I’ve made. Previously eating 3500 cals + a day. I would easily down a few slices of pizza, blue cheese, breadsticks and a whole Ben & Jerry’s at night. Was almost completely sedentary sitting to play with the kids, sitting to rock the baby, etc.

- currently eating under 1600/ day (usually around 1400).
- Weighing, measuring and tracking every bite.
- Hiring babysitters to get to the gym every day
- incorporating movement at home (just dance and walking)
- fasting from supper until breakfast (6pm - 9am) I don’t go back downstairs after my kids bedtime.
-10,000 steps, upped water, tracking protein and carbs.
I’m hungry I’m sad, what else should I do? It doesn’t seem worth it to take time from my baby and restrict myself from foods I love to indulge in for no progress. Praying my body gets the memo over the next 4 weeks it

One more comment. Did you double check your calorie intake with a nutritionist?

My BMR (basic calories I need to maintain my current weight of 247ish) is ~1750 calories. If I eat this, I will not lose weight. Not sure what your starting weight is but you may need more of a calorie deficit or more exercise to get you faster results?

Also, it’s not just calories my love. It’s also macros.
- my routine is at least 90g a protein daily
- shoot for 20g of fiber daily
- carbs being less than 50% my total calorie intake
- at least 60-90oz of water daily
- exercise 3-5 times a week
- at least 7 hrs of sleep
- I eat natural foods and minimize any processed or restaurant foods (processed foods have way too many calories and carbs)

My weight fluctuates +/- 2 lbs but I’m good as long as it doesn’t exceed that. I’ve been able to maintain a steady weightloss over the last couple of months. I did not lose weight my first 3 months of my routine change for reference (frustrating but I stuck through it. Realized I was still overeating)

I wish this app let you reply directly to people but I want to say thank you to each of you that took the time to offer support and encouragement! You really talked me off a ledge and even tho I was upset I stayed strong and consistent with my plan and didn’t binge eat or anything! Now 17 days in. I love the ideas about meeting with a nutritionist again and enjoying some non scale victories! I definitely do have more energy which is something I was really looking for with this fitness journey. Thanks all!!

  • We're locked in now! This is our crew, and all initial weigh-in should have been submitted. (or at least submitted today!)

Now is a good time for a reminder to take all the before photos and measurements!

One of the biggest things I've heard from people who have succeeded in their health and fitness goals is that they wish they had more before pictures. It may be hard to take the photos and measurements now, but you'll wish you did!

Also, we all know the scale can be frustrating. Even when that needle isn't moving, you may be able to see big changes in your measurements and photos. Those will keep you going until the scale catches up!

Some of you have been in previous Transformers and completely crushed it! You might remember how inspiring it is seeing all the before-and-after photos and hearing about all the incredible health wins.

📷 For those of you who have been in a Transformer before or have experience in this area, please share a before-and-after photo or some things you're proud to have accomplished!

✨ For all of you, share whether you've taken photos or measurements and how you plan to track your progress!

  • I hit my half marathon training pace today of 4.7 mph on the treadmill! This has taken me like 4 months of running again to recover.

For me, half marathon training took a toll on my mental. After my race, I felt accomplished but very drained mentally (15 miles plus weekly is a lot). I got out of shape the following 4 months and struggled to even run a mile again. Proud to have worked my way up to the pace at least :)
