Ive completely come to the understanding that I will be losing this time but I've come far. Almost 30 lbs in 2 months. I let go of a lot of water weight.

  • Good morning! Well, I'm not sure I'm going to make it to my goal because of certain habits I continued to make... and that's okay. I think i finally realized what I need to eat to help my gut and body work better, which will help me in the long run, and possibly the next time I join... which I'm sure will be right after this one. Lol!

Gained 3 lbs....no way 5 days will be lose in 5 days. ? I know for a fact 3 of those pounds is water weight cause I weighed 339 some days ago. That peach cobbler I had ate might be the culprit 😵‍💫

I also have about 2.6 to go! Probably a little too fast but I’ll be decreasing my caloric intake by about 200 calories & trying to hit 15,000 steps to get there.

Weightloss tends to go in spurts; your body needs time to adapt to new weight before you can drop more. However your body *will* want to return to its comfortable weight, so it’s important that you keep eating healthy and making good food choices while you are in the maintenance phase/plateau. As a man you have the advantage of muscles mass/faster metabolism, so exercise (even walking) will speed up your metabolism and help you continue to be successful. Hang in there- you will never regret the choice to be healthy!

I’m packing food and snacks for flight to Atlanta GA leaving today and coming home Thursday.
Feeling Great and don’t want this trip to set me back so being prepared.

Packing snacks is a great way to support yourself! Our society has catered to the idea that when we travel we have to eat convenience food, but it’s just not true. I spend a lot of time in the car with my kids & we always grab healthy snacks like fresh fruit/veggies & bottled water, nuts, cheese, sometimes popcorn. If we’re headed to a hotel I’ll pack a cold bag with Greek yogurt, sandwiches, and hard boiled eggs. It saves soooo much $ too! Airport food is so insanely expensive!

Well I’m back from Atlanta trip and actually did great! Weighed myself this morning and lost .8 of a pound. So with planning and making healthy choices at restaurants it can be done.

My journey is a little different. I need and want to lose weight. In December I found out I have Alpha Gal Syndrome (AGS). Which is from a tick bite.
Long story short I am allergic to all red meat (mammals), dairy and all things like sugar which whiten with bone char, xanthan gum, carrageenan, gelatin and anything with mammal in it.
So basically I don’t buy any processed food I make my own snacks and meals.
I can have birds and sea food, fruits and vegetables.

So I’ve been eating really healthy and losing weight. But it’s a struggle.
Anyone else have AGS?
I live in Missouri.

A friend hadsounds like that - she is highly restricted in the animal protein she can have (this developed in later 30d early 40s) she us a hardcore athlete- think 8 day long ecochallenges/ ultramarathons that kind of thing

Fish (limited) and nuts have been really helpful in getting in her protein but all mammal products are a no a d she needs to restructure most animal protein in general

Yes AGS is different for everyone. But so many things processed or have red meat that you don’t even realize. I’m dairy reactive also. Which some people can tolerate dairy.
