  • Hello everyone! Our game officially starts today and i'm so ready to show-up with you in SWEATember! For those of you who may not know me my name is Lexi (fatgirlfedup). I joined my first dietbet in 2016 and it helped me to lose 312lbs in two years with diet/exercise. No meal plan, surgery, personal trainer, but just counting my calories, focusing on my diet with 30-60 mins of exercise 5x a week in the beginning. Here's a few things to get started:
    - Welcome! Together we are losing pounds and have become a community full of love, encouragement, and support! It brings me great joy to host and I love being part of such a positive weight loss space. We will have others joining us for 2 weeks so be sure to invite friends, family, and coworkers. You may literally save their life just by getting them to join in on the fun!
    - Diet is key! I use myfitnesspal to track all the food i'm eating and it helped me learn about nutrition labels, log my water/workouts, and showed me my progress!
    - MOVE! Try to get atleast 30 minutes of exercise 4-5x a week even if it's just walking. Every step adds up! I started with the elliptical 5x a week in the beginning as I was 485lbs and it helped me to not kill my knees. Start where you can and just focus on moving daily.
    - WATER is your best friend! I aim to drink a gallon a day. Water helps to keep you full, boost your metabolism, and can even help your skin while losing weight!
    - Let's be friends! Be sure to tag #fatgirlfedupsdietbet on all social media so we can find & cheer each other on!
    - PICTURES. Sometimes the scale doesn't tell the full story so be sure to take ALL the before pictures. I promise you WILL want them and we can't wait to see your transformation!
    - Any technical or weigh in problems email support@dietbet.com as they are amazing and super quick with helping!

We're all in this together, let's do this! <3

My focus of the day is to drink more water as I haven’t been drinking it at all lately. Been up for an hour and already at almost 40oz!

But on another note, for those who deal with depression(if any of you do) how do you manage to get workouts in? I want to do them but can’t get the will power or energy to do them which then causes a deeper spiral. . . Any suggestions on making workouts easier?

I feel you- some days it‘s almost impossible to get up. Workouts always boost my mood, that helps. Find something you really enjoy, dance to your favorite song or make squats while you brush your teeth. Every step counts!

I feel you on the depression and having motivation to work out or move at all! I sign up for work out classes because they hold me accountable and it’s easier for me to move when I am doing it with others.

  • Happy Monday! Fall & all things pumpkin are my favorite, but drinking my calories is not! So this morning, I made my own flavored pumpkin pie caramel coffee! Would have been amazing iced or to get more creative with but it still did the trick without the guilt and yay portion control on the creamer. What's your go to way to have your coffee or healthy drink choice?

  • I like black coffee. However when I travel all the hotel, airport and other coffee is horrible. So I put my protein shake into it and it tastes just like cream but it's super healthy. Lean body shake is low sugar but sweet.

I do skinny syrups with a dash of fairlife in my coffee. Sometimes I do a protein shake mixed in to my coffee make protein iced coffee

  • Truth time: I’m not a big meal prepper 🙋???. I’m more of a “what’s in the fridge and what can I make from it?” kinda gal. Because let’s be real—what sounds good today, I probably won’t want two days from now 😂.

That said, I do like having a few things prepped and ready, plus extra water bottles filled, so I’ve got zero excuses when it comes to hitting my nutrition, water, steps, and miles goals 💪. Flexibility + a little prep = balance that actually works for me.

👉 Now tell me—are you Team Meal Prep or Team Wing It?

I'm sooo with you, I just can't get with the meal prep thing. I don't understand how people eat the same things day in and day out. I eat something different every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I have a seven day protein plan for dinner like Mon shrimp, Tue chicken, Wed pork chops, etc. That's as far as the meal planning goes and the only reason for that is so we don't eat the same meat twice in a week. We buy 95% whole foods, very little processed convenient foods and those are mostly cause of two teen boys. Football practice, busy lives. I can make a meal in 30 minutes or less from the food we keep on hand, I find the meal prep unnecessary.

cindifromindy

I do both. I used to do 24 freezer meals but i got tired of them. Best wishes

Hello! This is my 4th challenge in a row...don't always make the goal but have been losing a little each time...as a woman in my 50s with a desk job..I'll take these small victories..so here I am for another round...good luck to all!

I feel that! Also in my 50s with a desk job, bad knees and a back injury! Taking it one day at a time. Good luck!!
