I’ve been really struggling with a plateau for about a month now, but as I made goal as of yesterday, I am reminding myself that I have lost TEN PERCENT of my body weight this year. Which is a huge accomplishment. I have been over 300 lbs for several years now, and now I am seeing a 2 at the front of my weight and have done so consistently for weeks now. I am reminding myself that it’s natural for things to stall out and that not seeing loss right now doesn’t diminish my accomplishments. I hope everyone is celebrating their progress, even if that means not losing weight but maintaining healthier habits. I’m trying to get there!

I hope you made it past your plateau. You are right to celebrate your 10 percent loss. That's the real prize!

I am in a serious plateau right now so it’s doubtful that I’ll make goal, but I’m reminding myself that the end goal is what matters and I can catch up in the next few months! Still glad to be making even very slow progress. Have a great weekend, everyone!

Great mindset!
I was in a similar spot in a different DietBet challenge.
I cut out sodium for a few days and focused on eating greens and meats.
And I changed my workouts to some long walks for those couple of days and I ended up dropping some retained water weight & making my goal.
I’m rooting for you!
You can do hard things! :sunglasses::runner:‍♀️:muscle::tada:

I wa steady below my goal and all of a sudden my weight started climbing back up. i was almost 2 lbs over this morning, so not looking good for this month. not letting it discourage me too much tho!

Water weight gain happens when we least expect it! Hopefully temporary, but agree not helpful at weigh-in time.

I’m in the same boat! I randomly went back up and I’m .5 lbs over this morning. Waiting until tonight to weigh in again in the very unlikely case that it drops back down lol.

  • My power was off for hours and data wasnt working well enough to post this so I've been sittin on this one.

I'm so happy with all the transformation I've been blessed to experience with my mind body finances and career. I have known deep down 2025 is my year for growth. 2024 was my year for healing. 2023 was exploring. 2022 was surviving. 2021 was changing the way i think.

I've come so far with everything I've been through. And its so nice to be back to my goal when i turned 30 (be the healthiest me in my 30s). I'm now turning 35 and it's really not too late to make that happen. I am officially the lowest weight I've been in my 30s. 20s is a different story.

I'm so determined visualizing a future not just where my body is transformed but getting my red seal in carpentry, buying my first home, and possible meeting the right person. I'm just picky so id rather be single than settle which is fine with me. I really love being single too.

My 30s have been crazy. Left a religion that no longer felt right. Left a career path i settled for. Got back together with the love of my life even though she did pass away in 2021. I discovered myself and truly stopped giving af what anyone thought. Started learning carpentry then started a business which is becoming successful but not afraid to close it to go back to carpentry. You don't beg to wait to create the life you want to live.Yes it had some very dark times thanks to grief but that's the cost of love.

So to anyone who might have made it though this post. What do you really want in your life? Because change doesn't happen without discomfort and uncertainty and i have lived my last 10 years completely embracing that. The weight loss is a freaking bonus that i worked my ass off for and I'm so grateful. But whats moving me to lose it is tied into the bigger picture.

I challenge everyone to ask yourself. What is the bigger picture?
