Hi! This is my very first transformer - I’ve always done the kickstarters to either stay on track or get back on track. I finally decided I was going to go for a big one and shoot to hit a huge goal for myself and get under 200lbs. My 10% goal is 195.5. I am determined to not backslide and finally hit this goal. I’ve gotten so close and each time I just revert to poor nutrition choices and gain 10-15lbs back - 212 is my sweet spot, I can eat basically half ass it and maintain as long as I push the weight and get the fasted cardio. I’ve decided that I have had enough of my own BS excuses and I’m hitting this goal for once and for all!! Good luck to everyone!! Let’s do this!!

  • Meet cooper’s brother ‘little baby’ Thor.
Body of a German Shepard, mouth of a husky and dumb as a doorknob. But we absolutely love and adore him.
We had a Low mileage run/walk for marathon prep on Sunday!

  • Don’t mind the crazy hair but it was a sweaty 84 degree double day (5 miles this morning)& an afternoon 5-mile run I didn’t really want to do. But then I remembered I have goals so here we are…we can do it. I always tell myself at least get out the door and if you really can’t ok, but at least try!

So true! We don’t have a weight problem, we have an inertia problem. A body at rest will remain at rest unless acted upon by an external force. The force we need for change is directly proportional to a body's mass and, I like to add, time or duration. Forty years of inactivity will not change w/out a tremendous “force”. Sounds like U get it “just out the door”.

  • Today is an active recovery day. Where the dogs take full advantage of not running!
This is the alpha of the group (3of4)
    “Grandpa” Brown, flash’s brother.
They will be 11 in August and he is still killing it!
Ran 10 miles with me on Saturday!

Monday, I will exercise-walk!
Writing this everywhere, to keep myself accountable.
Friday night is off every week.
Saturday night, I didn't walk. A friend was over, so I let it slide.
Sunday night, busy video-calling family plane rides away (Zooming and Teaming...used to be Skype). So, it's not happening again.
And just like that, 3 days have gone by without exercise-walking.
Failing is SOOOO easy, while succeeding takes quite a bit of focus & planning.

I always try to think of it like an appointment that I will get charged for if I miss. For me mornings are better so it’s less time to have an excuse. Keep working towards it :blue_heart:

Elizabeth

How did your walk go???

  • It’s a rare occurrence to spot me on the trail by myself. But sometimes I just need space to not think and just breathe. And also I’m having a back “flare up” situation so I needed to take my time and watch my posture. Movement is movement and that’s what matters 💖

  • Now that I see my first round goal, I am feeling pretty nervous! I am the heaviest I’ve ever been because we bought, gutted, and are now remodeling a home with the goal of moving in June. I’m putting in 40+ hours into the remodel a week, working 50 hours a week, helping manage my mother’s cancer, and am not peri-menopausal.

My plan : lots of veggies, lots of lean protein, and enough water and coffee to burst. This little dude says he’ll take care of the marching orders!

You've got a lot going on, so glad to know your pupper is up to rhe task! I'm also seeing pretty high numbers for the first two rounds. Just working on controlling what we can control--we'll get there if we keep pushing. Good health and love to your mom!

Stephanie R.

Look at that cutie. Life is full of busy seasons. Sometimes HARD busy seasons. Some days, hours, minutes are harder than others. The best part there are always more. Take a breath and always remember to put are human, but a human with goals. You got this!
