  • Leg day ? I definitely need to improve my bench step-ups, or I should consider getting a smaller bench because that move is no joke. I can already feel my legs burning ๐Ÿ˜‚

I use a step and do them as a lunge then step up, making sure to put all my weight in my front leg when I step up so it still gets plenty of work. I'm just too small to feel like I'm safe doing it on the bench :laughing:

Just did my 3rd weigh-in and while I'm lower than when I started I'm still up from the previous weigh-in. Kind of bummed. But sticking to it because I know I'll make great changes in the long run

Fluctuations are normal. I went up over the weekend but I was post leg day and they were sore so I'd expected it. Dropped back down today. Trust the process :blush:

Should I tone down volume of leg days if Iโ€™m mixing in two runs per week?

Do what works for you.
I donโ€™t tone down on my legs ever. If leg day falls on a day I have a 2 hour figure skating session - I still do it. My legs may be toast by the end of the day but they love to be worked.

I replace the HIIT portion of the workout with the run. Not sure if that's helpful to you maybe.

  • Got in a lovely couple of walks at the weekend....date day walk along the river at Durham (UK) on Saturday, and a wander with my boys around our local country park yesterday. Roughly 3 miles each.

  • Itโ€™s Chest day- other ppl call it Monday - 5 years ago I joined my first ever DietBet with Joel. โ€œLift4Summerโ€ I was just getting into lifting, completely fed up with my own excuses, and was looking for a way to finally change my habits- not just lose 10lbs to gain it back- that dietbet changed my life. If I told that girl who was struggling with 8โ€™s and 15โ€™s that sheโ€™d be curling 25โ€™s and chest pressing 40lbs while thinking that she need to up it next set- sheโ€™s have laughed in my face. Jokes on her bc Iโ€™m grabbing the 45โ€™s for my next set of ROTATING presses- donโ€™t EVER underestimate yourself. Happy Monday!

  • Got off the schedule but it was time for back so did the LM SB week 1 back. Need to figure out the balance of leg days with running. ๐Ÿƒ??? ๐Ÿ˜…

I try not to do leg day the day before a run, and skip the HIIT portion of any workouts on run days and just do the weights. Hope that helps.

  • Using my lunch break to do a little food prep. Turkey burrito bowls 'ish. A ton of spinach added (sorry not sorry about kale), to be served with a little avocado for fats and perhaps a fresh tomato, onion and cilantro salsa.
