  • Happy Wednesday!

Let's chat about the power of healthy snacking. Strategically choosing snacks between meals can be a game-changer in preventing that overwhelming hunger that often leads to overeating during main courses. Think of it as bridging the gap and keeping your energy levels stable throughout the day. When we consistently fuel our bodies with nutritious snacks, we're less likely to make impulsive, less healthy choices out of desperation when mealtime finally arrives.

Speaking of snacks, it's also super important to be mindful of portion sizes, even with healthy options! A handful of nuts is a great source of healthy fats and protein, but a whole bag might work against our goals. One of my go-to snacks is sliced apple with a tablespoon of almond butter – it's satisfying, provides fiber and healthy fats, and keeps me feeling full. What are some of your favorite healthy snacks that you find keep you feeling energized and prevent overeating? Sharing ideas can help us all discover new and delicious ways to stay on track!

I love apple slices with peanut butter too. My other options are dried mangoes or dried prunes. I don't snack on them daily, and when I do, I'm mindful of the portions I decide to eat.
