Writing this here to hold myself accountable/try to NOT make excuses and need some solidarity if there is any!
I’m a teacher, going back to work on 1/6 after being on maternity leave, and I work at a high school with an indoor track in the gym.
My goal is to walk and/or run 1 mile a day (get my stamina back up to the point where I can run a mile straight and not get winded 😂). This will be on top of all of the walking around I do as a teacher already.
I’d LOVE to be able to just get straight back into running, but I’m nursing my now 10-week-old, and I’m an oversupplier. If I don’t nurse or pump for a bit, I get engorged and heavy feeling - which doeS NOT feel good running/working out lol so I may have to just go on walks for a while until I regulate more down the road!
