  • I am not going to make my goal for this bet and I’m ok with that. My scale had been on a steady incline and I was able to put a halt to that. I will count that as a huge win. Now that school is out for the summer, I can really focus on my nutrition and get back on my weight training routine. I’m also gonna start training for a 10 mile race in August. Good luck everyone!! Did get a 45 minute Peloton ride in this morning.

  • 1/2 marathon complete. First 1/2 felt great. The 2nd half not so much. I wanted to quit about the 10.5 mile point. But I pushed through and finished. 2:34:46 for a time. Not a great time, but being less than a year from hip surgery, I’ll take it. I think I’ll take a rest day or 2

Great job! Still so much better than folks sitting on the couch! A 1/2 marathon isn't exactly easy.... well done you. I must have had an energy gel every mile for the last 3 miles of my first just trying to get through it.

  • Last workout before my race on Saturday. Got a 30 minute Peloton ride in. Don’t know if I’m ready for this race, but I’m just happy my body is letting me compete this year. Last year I was sidelined with a fracture of the neck of my femur. Now that the workout is done, gotta get laundry done and get packed up so I can take off right from work tomorrow.

  • After work, 2 of my daughters had allergy appointments. When we got home, I delegated dinner making to the kids (burgers) while I got my 30 minute Peloton ride in. Tomorrow will be a rest day as my son has his orthopedic surgeon appointment tomorrow morning at 7am and we are going to watch his high school baseball team play tomorrow afternoon. Not pushing too much with my race this weekend.

  • Got a 30 minute Beastie Boys ride in on Peloton this morning. That was totally different than the rides I am used to. Felt good to do something different and push myself. Now to go to my niece’s confirmation. The real test will be the meal afterwards. I can’t control what is being served I can just control what I put on my plate. Gonna try eating a protein bar before hand so I’m not as hungry.

  • Late-ish night at the track last night. But both the girls and boys track and field teams took home regional champs! Go Eagles ?!! Got a quick 20 minute Peloton ride in this morning before we head off to the baseball fields. My son isn’t playing because of his separated shoulder, but still going to support the team. One week til race day. I’m really hoping this weather forecast holds out. But in Michigan, wait 5 minutes, the weather will likely change.

  • 3 mile run this morning. The 4am alarm sucked, but after my daughter’s appt this afternoon, I can relax. No kids sporting events tonight, which is rare. Only 9 days til race day!!!

  • Can’t wait for this week to be done. Seems like every day is filled from start to finish. Today was work, dentist appointment, daughters track meet, then home. The bonus of her meet was that it was close to where I could get some sushi. I got home at a decent time and I was able to get a 30 minute Peloton ride in. Sushi and a protein drink for dinner.

  • Sleep last night was horrible. I couldn’t get up to workout this morning. I didn’t want to not do something, but today was jammed packed. Work, hair appt (had to get rid of the grey), make dinner, nail appt, pick my son up from watching a baseball game, and my son has an MRI at 10:30pm. (He dislocated his shoulder diving back to first base.). I was able to fit a 20 minute Peloton ride in after making dinner but before eating dinner. Making myself a priority in all the chaos.

  • The plan was a 3 mile run. I started feeling a bit shaky at 2 miles (and I forgot my gu) so I walked the last mile. The pace for the first 2 miles felt great. 13 days until my 1/2 marathon. My hubby and kids got me some new running socks for Mother’s Day. I’m saving the pink ones (my favorite color) for race day
